Have been eyeing this for some time.... I plan to use it in my bedroom, hook up to NAS in the living room. Can I play from NAS directly, copy files to /from NAS into the HDD, etc?

4GB file size

8GB file size

12GB file size

12GB++ file size
*
1080p will like abt 10GB?
can i know, if the BD has 7.1 channel sound, will it be bigger in size?

this mkv format will compress the 7.1 channel sound or strike out the 7.1 channel to 5.1 channel?
if the BD has 7.1 channel sound and rip it to mkv format, when play back the mkv, will it have 7.1 channel sound?

thks

"branded" Realtek 1073dd selling overprice here.. blush.gif

where to get this "china brand" realtek 1073dd player?

so, which one should be best in terms of

1. picture quality
2. sound
3. file format in rmvb, mkv, iso
4. internet/LAN connection
5. ease of use

which one you will select? WDTV live, xStreamer, POHD, "china brand"

still hard to decide which one should go for.

Buy all and eliminate one by one. if RMVB, WDTV Live is already out of consideration.

hi bro,

if i got money to get all, i no need to ask these questions.
moreover, i will contribute my review for all these players in this forum.

what i hope is someone can give me opinion.
at least now i know WDTV Live is out of my selection.

thks

QUOTE(Ngto @ Dec 17 2009, 05:25 PM)
For Blu-ray movies most of the time it's either DTS-MA or True-HD, seldom both.

The POHD can't even recognise True-HD. Gives a "Unknown Audio Format" error. Not even downmixed to Stereo.

Thankfully nowadays DTS-MA is more available than True-HD. At least can hear the DTS 5.1 Core. If another 3 mths still not included in the firmware upgrades, then can say goodbye to HD Audio already.

hdwarexpert,

does the XStreamer suffer the same problems?
what sound available for XStreamer, DTS-MA and ......?

thks
