u must be joking about the samsung?, you call writing at 100MB/s slow?

i try before, don't believe you can try yourself, if you are using usb, is definately painful to transfer 100g of file/data to the hardisk, that's why it saling cheap and provide u 3 years warranty.

i have 3 anyway, due to the cheap price, just let my notebook run few hours to transfer the file... rclxub.gif

what has that got to do with the samsung HDD? even seagate or WD spinning at 7200 will take the same speed to copy over USB 2.0 connection the bottleneck is at the USB 2.0... so labeling the sammy HDD slow because it;'s cheaper than seagate is not correct...

That is USB problem, not HDD problem. U try connecting Raptor to USB and see how fast it can go.

If you use USB to copy, 1G will take 1 minute, roughly. So, 100G will take about 1 hour 40 minutes. If you use eSATA, the speed will be double or trible.
