Both are using the Realtek chipsets, similar like the Dvico M6600. According to the sources, those manufacturers already can bitstream HD audio in their own firmwares. The problem is Realtek does not have the license with Dolby and DTS to allow that right now. Realtek will be releasing their 2.0 SDK in Oct which has this feature enabled. This is for ACRyan and Xtreamer, not sure about Dvico though.

SDK2.0 will work on DA and DD chips.
 There are a lot of licensing issues between Realtek and DTS. DA chips cannot downmix DTS, that's just 1 example. BTW, can Dvico M6600 bitstream HD audio right now? |
