a200 uses cf & ms.

a230 uses sd & ms.

CF cards are know to be faster than sd.

So the A200 can still use my MS which I have lying around, then ?

want to ask bros here for help. I left my tripod in my other car in Melaka and i'm going to Penang tomorrow (now in KL). Is it possible for anyone in penang to loan me their tripod? I don't mind paying a rent for it. Please let me know asap.

Seriously forgotten to take out my tripod from my other car when i sent it in for repainting.. @.@ bodoh betul.

Just to ask the sifu here... do you think is a good idea to replace the 18-70 kit lens with a Sigma 18 - 200 (w/o Stablizer version)? It seems quite cheap at 1K+ and sony dun need the Stablizer...

Or i shud go for the newer Sigma 18 250 with Stablizer version of Sigma? Any significant diffenrent between the 2?

p/s: my kits: DT 18 - 70, minolta 50 1.7. next on wish list is FM58 and after that is kit lens replacement...

Seng_Kiat: Looks good to me. I use Vivid 0 +1 +3 -2 -1 all the time!

The setting has nothing to do with WB though - if the color is off, then it's your WB.

When the flash is in Manual Power, and the body is in any other mode than Manual Exposure, it will change to TTL. You need to change a setting on the F58 - hold down the Fn button until the Custom Function menu comes out, and scroll to C04 and change it from M to PASM. Now you can flash Manual Power even in Aperture Priority!

And I personally would prefer the 50mm F1.8 DT SAM because it focuses to 38cm close and is contrasty wide open (the F1.4/F1.7 isn't.) However, I do shoot in so much lower light that I really need the F1.4. If you're just going for bokeh, I would much prefer the F1.8 as it gives cleaner bokeh (no bright-lined out-of-focus discs.)

hanafinoor: What you talking about, people should be scared of you poisoning them!

tot31: Congratulations! Eh by the way the 5m range I'm talking about only happens in Sunny F16 light when the flash sensors are directly exposed to sunlight. When you point it up, or sideways, the distance increases by a lot.

chiggy: Nice lighting!

raist86: If you can't get anyone and if rental would cost RM40 I'd suggest picking up a cheap one, to function as a flash stand.

mcline_007: Congratulations anyway!
