Which would you guys recommend between Sigma 30 F1.4 and SAL 16105?
Both around RM 1500 (2nd hand). Currently i have a Sigma 24-70 F2.8.
Have to decide pretty soon.

Use shutter speed above 1/160. The sensor will not register the pop up flash.

try visiting the sony center shop at one utama. was quoted RM 1700 for SAL 16105... That's the only sony center shop which gives discount..
I asked the sales girl, she says got discount for every alpha equipment. just gotto ask. Added on August 6, 2009, 12:09 pmbtw, it's new set with the seal still on. didn't get to try it though cos it's sealed up. This post has been edited by raist86: Aug 6 2009, 12:09 PM |

QUOTE(garycheow @ Aug 13 2009, 03:22 PM) Hi All Si Fu, if possible, get the older a200 set. Ergonomics wise, the a200 is much better to hold and easier to use. You have dedicated buttons for certain functions and you can change the AF point easily on a200. Sometimes, shrinking stuff doesn't really work out, especially if you can't shrink your hands. If you can't use the camera comfortably, then there's no point at all as you'll tend not to use it after purchase. Thanks for reply, by the way compare the Nikon D40 and the Sony Alpha 200 which one is better for a beginner like me? and the price wise can any Sifu let me know the different for both camera on second hand? and how about the Alpha 230L? the price is not far different on 200 and 230, which one is recommended? Thanks & Cheers A200 remaining stocks should be quite cheap now. Do hurry though as once they're out of stock, they are gone. Oh yea, a200 uses cf card while a230 uses sd.. Somehow, i prefer a cf card to SD. Not so easy to get lost and feels more solid. |

QUOTE(Wonka @ Aug 13 2009, 06:38 PM) Of these 2, which is nicer? My pick would be the 1st one if you're doing for wedding or something emotional. The color feels more romantic as compared to the 2nd one which looks very sterile. A little too bluish i think.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

since you have big hands, then i'd suggest go straight for a200 or a300.
If you have the extra cash, a300 is a better buy due to the live view and tiltable screen. Certainly makes a difference when you're trying to shoot at difficult angles. |

If you have big hands, and would like a more solid feel camera, get a200.
The electronics are the same, just that a230 has been shrunk and several buttons have been removed. It's pretty much a cost reduction product, like the golf mk6 to the golf mk5. |
