QUOTE(NaGeNaZ @ Sep 26 2009, 12:46 PM) Bro xKAIZERUx, isnt your 2.1GHz@1.25v is quite high voltage ? Any particular reason for this ? Thanks. i typed wrong, should be 1.15v.the main reason i bought 15" is of course, the big 15" screen, really enjoyed my movie with this baby! even my housemate jeles already. and another reason is the numpad. ffull keyboard with numpad is a plus to all 15" and above laptop. |

the gpu-z and cpu-z wont detect our card correctly so the speed will be reported some stupid value.

for me i dont care it is an intel or amd system anymore. as long as i get the best out of my hard-earned money, the best price/performance ratio, then it will be OK.
My last laptop is Intel n nVidia laptop. now AMD n ATi laptop. maybe in the future, i want Intel and ATi combo. if i got the money to spare tat is. Added on September 27, 2009, 9:40 am QUOTE(Muhammad Syukri @ Sep 27 2009, 09:39 AM) so i just browsing around the net & i found a thread about ASUS k51 series. They never release it in SEA to be precise.the spec with ATI 40nm- 4860 AMD Althon64 X2 QL64, Turion64 X2 RM74 or the Ultra Turion64 X2 ZM84 processor. DDR2 Ram. Back-lit LCD's. but up until now ASUS never release the model, any idea when they gonna release it?? This post has been edited by xKAIZERUx: Sep 27 2009, 09:40 AM |

i'm using the dGPU mode now, so dunno what the prob.
but the powerplay also works in dGPU mode. if we use the AMD GPU Clock tool, we can see the GPU clock is at ~220mhz core ~250mhz mem. and the voltage is 0.9v if there are no usage. gaming mode is full speed 680mhz/500mhz, 1.1v This post has been edited by xKAIZERUx: Oct 2 2009, 11:26 PM |

dunno yet. usually manufacturers have no obligation to just update the bios on a whim. must have something like bug fix.

actually, hot is subjective. Any laptop will get hot when gaming, not a single one will remain cool, except if you play it inside a server's room. but yourself maybe freezing, so not advisable.
but how comfortable are you to play when a laptop gets too hot? For me, this laptop have a really superior design, coz the armrest is always cooler than you palm. refer to the first page to see where the main heat is all about. like a desktop, most people dont even bother to close the casing. this laptop bottom case can be opened without voiding the warranty. that is the plus point. the main prob with this laptop is, is the fan. except booting, it wont blow any faster than around 20~30% of its speed. and even in high heat, it will just remain unnoticeable. we cant hear a single thing. a really really quite whisper. -- see my signature for the full specs of this laptop. K40AB, K50AB share the same hardware, the difference is screensize ( duhh. 14" ->15.6"), K50 have numpad!! and 20 minutes lesser battery time. using vista battery saver, can get at most 2hours. normally, around 1 hour, 50 minutes. i personally think that this is the best RM2k gaming laptop. no other system can get this close.
but if you can spend more money, get to the other Asus thread, and ask astria or perfect stranger about it. they may know any other Asus system that will suit your budget. |

dell really have a lot of customization. try not to upgrade your ram or make partitions, coz you can really cut cost there.
most of upgrade like rams, hdd, mouse, can be bought elsewhere for much2 lower price than you pay for to dell. |

Guys, if i change the HDD now, and sold the HDD, what do you guys think of the warranty status?
Is the warranty require me to have all the default configuration (which includes original HDD) to be able to claim anything? |
