help,i just installed window 7 Ultimate, but then when i try open bios but its kept going to interface where i need to choose Vista or Window 7.

how to fix this??

Added on September 10, 2009, 1:59 amnow my catalyst couldnt detect my HD4570 on my Window 7,how to fix this???
*
i suggest u just reformat the whole thing back again. because u installed 2 windows instead of replacing vista. i thought catalyst will detect 4570 while u playing games or wat so ever?

ayark..just installed windows 7 ultimate in my k50ab..but my gc detected ati radeon hd 4500 instead of hd 4570...it's oso failed to start(code 10)..what can i do meh??..help me???...i oredy installed new driver but still din resolve the problem..huhuhu... cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif
*
its 4500 series. not 4500. 4570 is one of 4500 series beside 4530. if u using ati driver it will show 4530/4570 instead of 4570. because they dont make driver specifically for 4570.download the driver from windows update. its byfar the most stable driver i ever use. even more stable than catalyst 9.8 or 9.8 3d game fix.

better to use only 4570 than using xpress power.....changing graphic card causes the problems. if u have ati catalyst control centre. theres is option power play which will reduce the clock speed and memory speed of the graphic card when u using battery. it works for me. no need to set up anything. just enable it. better than changing graphic adapter from descrete to onboard and back again. problems...

Can anyone upload picture to differentiate old K50AB badge and the newer K50AB badge with "more cool ..." sticker?

Whats the difference  other than that? Any recommended shop at lowyat?  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
actually the only difference is the hard drive size, 250gb and 320gb. all the features are the same. old batch also hv cool palm rest. only no sticker. so just worry about the size of the disk u get instead of thinking about a stupid sticker. sweat.gif

remember to find the 320gb version of the notebook. unless u dont mind to add more afterwards when u ran out of space.

its normal to have up to 90c when u on gaming.

Added on September 12, 2009, 6:15 ambtw, catalyst 9.9 already released, anyone using Window 7 can try it to check either the HD 4570 problem resolved or not???
*
tested the new 9.9 driver version(modded it). it is also not stable....but this is worst...desktop driver are just not for laptop...so i decided to use the most stable driver for windows update....but the new catalyst control centre works better, smoother. my suggestion is mod the new 9.9, install it, use windows update to change the driver.

acer built quality is still a problem i'd say.. asus has good built quality.. u dont really have to worry.. and this comes with 2 years warranty.. what lappy is ur friends?? high temperature is something u cant avoid on a gaming lappy.. and a lappy for gaming.. u'r gonna have to bear with the high temperature lor..
*
dude....who said acer built sucks....acer make good stuff, infact its like the 2nd best seller after HP...but Hp is american...thats why its on top...america is big... actually Asus ppl is from Acer if u read history of Asus....but still i prefer Asus.

i know in term of GC K40ab beat acer a lot..but acer come with 3 yrs waranty..just worry the mobo will die after 2 yrs of waranty..  tongue.gif cos my friend's notebook's mobo die after 1 yrs 3 months...and the high temperature also worry me..  hmm.gif
*
this is new amd cpu...unlike the old one. dont think u will have temperature issues on this lappy. plus the cooling vent exits behind this lappy is open. while acer will be closed by the screen.

just use dgpu. if u want power saving mod ati catalyst 9.9, install it to ur pc then enable ati power play. it will downclock ur gpu. easier than changing gpu from discrete to onboard....
