AMD confirm will lose if u compare with crunching numbers only... wat most reviews miss out, is memory latency and bandwidth...
thanks to the integrated memory controller, a AMD K8 will always ve lower latency and much higher memory bandwidth compared to Core 2... and this is essential for games... u dun want to lag and get killed rit??? |

imho 64-bit is better in the long run...
sooner or later, we'll definitely go past the 4GB mark... actually, the latest time to switch to 64-bit is 3:14:08, 19 January 2038... that's when the clocks in 32-bits will reach it's maximum and can't proceed anymore... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_problem |

noise wise i think it depends on which model...
using Seagate Momentus now, 7200rpm, default comes with my Asus N81Vp... honestly u hardly hear it spinning up... Added on September 18, 2009, 6:05 pmactually, i would prefer WD... now even Seagate 3yrs warranty, while WD is still 5yrs... This post has been edited by astria: Sep 18 2009, 06:05 PM |
