Where to set the Vdram to 1.5v ? For what use ? hehe.

what you rmeans of Fly mean rosak or high performances?

Now using Vista Ultimate 32BIt. Just show 3.25GB =.= " for the RAM

Using 64Bit will use 4GB right ?
*
Fly in the sense of 'working as fast and as good as it possible can' biggrin.gif

Set Vdimm usually in the Bios....next to Vcore...or CPU Voltage.... thumbup.gif

1st of all, biostar doesn't have high end board else we'll see 790fx boards from biostar around d market. a high end board won't cost RM355 (kit_kit's special price) only, if that's high end then asus/giga/dfi/msi are very very very... high end boards ledi...  laugh.gif

more like d wallet of d seller is easier to spoil coz d profit margin is small compared to so called "not so easy to spoil" boards.  whistling.gif
*
Personally to me, any board also can spoil, and the reason behind Biostar being 'easily' spoilt is mainly due to its lesser quality components as opposed to Premium boards from Asus, Msi, Giga or even DFI....But that doesn't means that it cant do the job perfectly...With the 3 Years warranty on Biostar boards nowadays, I think it would be a good idea to choose Biostar and 'play' with it as long as they know the 'limits' of the board to avoid any mishaps such as blowouts...

QUOTE(CV6149 @ Jul 30 2009, 11:19 AM)
emmm CCF also not good enuff for X4 unlock @ 3.5ghz
temp rose to 50c.....im kinda allergic to see the 50c..

anyway..in my short time testing the x2 550 be unlock..
it is very important to get a good mobo...the biostar 790gx is a good board buut due to lack for mosfet cooling...it is not adviseable to run a TDP 140w proc..might kill the board...

just need to ghetto some kind of mosefet cooling or TR hr-09..
aiih........
*
CCF on a X4 with 1.5v can handle around 50-55c during priming and it isn't such a slouch compared to the 50c the stock cooler which is only on idle@1.5v...Priming on a stock cooler will come close 68c when 1.5v is applied... thumbup.gif

How to lower the NB n HT ?
*
Lower the NB;
Go into the Bios look for NB Frequency.... either it is using multiplier values or mhz value...if mhz value just put 1800

Lower the HT
Go into the Bios look for HT Link or Hypertransport Link or HT Multiplier...

Usually them both will be quite close...

then..if i put mosfet cooler, it is safe to run 1.4x vcore ?
looking around for mosfet cooler as for northbridge i put a small fan 40x40.
mosfet still naked without any heatsink. any suggestion how to cool the mosfet?

as my xigmatek push air upside, then need active cooling for mosfet ..
is CCF air push to the rear ?

For Phenom IIs, above 30c is considered 'subliminally hot' edi....

0c is the 'overclocking optimal' temperature...anything above 5c is considered 'overheat'....

Hot if you wanna fly at 4.0Ghz above....if around 3.6 or 3.8 then the theory goes out of the window... thumbup.gif

sir antonio fans of snoop dogg ke?  tongue.gif

if only amd cover physical damage (bend pins) for rma...  blush.gif

users w/ unlockable/unhealthy unlocked core(s) can all "accidentally" drop their chips & keep repeatin that until they get a gud one...  brows.gif

hhihihihi

Why I say 'drop' is because inside the CPU are very fine interconnects which allows communications from the pins to the CPU die....

when I say drop, dun lar drop the pin side, drop ler the IHS side....

Attached Image

Red is die
Blue is the board
Yellow is pin
Black is IHS

Like AMD oso; promote OC kaw kaw say the Phenom II is cold bug free lar, can OC up to 6 Ghz lar but when read the disclaimer, we do not cover running beyond specification which has been by AMD blink.gif

Added on August 4, 2009, 11:31 amThe interconnects is very fine and usually that section kaput which is what makes people RMA the CPU....

Some may break the interconnects using high volts some drop...

Well, like I said, dun say antonio ajar....

Shop usually don't ask what happen, they only care if got warranty (the 1 year period, if more than 1 year, then is $$$ fee) or not for the processor... whistling.gif
