So what is all this, and why is it so significant?

The new AMD Prophecy X CPU series are built on 32nm architecture with less silicon than ever before. Silicon used to be the main substance used in microprocessors, however with AMD's new technological breakthrough with their new AMDium element, which is now 111th on the Periodic Table, microprocessors can reach speeds like never before. With the new AMDium substance that is mixed with silicon through a special process called "bonding", AMD came out with a solution that gives us less power loss and heat generation, while maintaining a powerful processor that the world has never seen before. The new AMD Prophecy X processors use a much higher clock speeds which allows to utilized full potential use of the DDR4 memory modules. We'll take a look at more on the ATI's DDR4 modules in a bit. AMD Oracle X CPU and Add-On Card

The new AMD Oracle X CPU's are 32nm architecture Dual-Core processors based on the same principals as the AMD Prophecy X CPU series ranging from 1.6Ghz to 2.8Ghz. The Oracle X CPU Add-On Card can be used on AMDs latest motherboards in the PCI-Quantum (64x) slot. The Oracle X CPU is designed and stabilized specifically for the Add-On card, allowing the users to load all background system and user applications onto the Oracle X Dual-Core CPU while using the full potential Prophecy X for the designated application you picked. This makes sure that the application that you are trying to run the smoothest is not slowed down by background applications.

However, the AMD Oracle X CPUs can also be used on the Add-On card as extra cores to help out with applications with multiprocessor support. How is it possible that the Oracle X does not need good cooling to work properly?

Like said before, the new X series processors like the Prophecy X use a new 32nm architecture and AMDium is combined with silicon to lower heat generation. Since the Prophecy X processors are octa-core processors, they are designed in a way to work with the standard stock cooling included with AMD processors. Now let's take out 6-cores from the Prophecy X and we get the AMD Oracle X processor. Look at it in a way that you are taking out 3/4ths of the heat by lowering the cores to 2, therefore powerful cooling is not necessary at all.

With the development of AMDium, power loss has been lowered by up to 65% from previous generation of CPUs and GPUs. How does it work?

The AirFreezer Pro condenses air molecules and quickly expands it when released into the tubes creating a bellow freezing point air temperature to effectively cool down the Central Processing Unit. The one further away shows the air temperature circulating though the system (1st LED measuring at -30C whereas the 10th LED measuring at 40C), while the LED's closer to you shows the speed of the cooler (Description comes from the video). The Speed for the air circulation through the AirFreezer Pro is determined by BIOS settings, or manual software settings. Yes, however the AirFreezer Pro comes with double layer construction, where a small layer of clear space is present. The space has all air and other substances sucked out which prevents the cooler to create any condensation on the outside.

ATI's HD 5000 Series Video Cards are built on the same architecture as the Prophecy X CPUs. With the 32nm and AMDium based GPUs, heat generation and power consumption has never been lower before. The ATI HD 5000 Series Video Cards come with full support for DX11 and OpenGL 3.0. The Video Cards come with 2GB GDDR4 and GDDR5 memories depending on the model, and with a memory speed of up to 4Ghz. The Core clock on the cards range from the low end 550Mhz to the high end 900Mhz speeds. And finally the HD 5000 series Video Cards come with 1200 stream processing units. The new HD 5870 X2 however comes with 2400 stream processing units seeing that it has to 32nm GPUs.

ATI went ahead of the competition and developed a new add on card that connects to a PCI-Express 2.0 slot, allowing the user to upgrade their current video memory. The Video Card gets connected with the Add-On card, allowing the original video card to use the extra memory for games requiring more memory. (Great example is GTA4).
