what kind of users shall go for Phenom II??
*
Well the kind of users who would go for Phenom II would be users who wants unlocked multi n the extra L3 cache..
In some instances that extra L3 cache still worth something.. smile.gif

Nice stuff, especially your RAM speed thumbup.gif

Is it better to play timings or RAM speed? Currently I have my RAMs at 230MHz 7-7-7 from stock 200MHz 7-7-7. Seeing you guys bump it up to 9-9-9 really scary lah, but is there any performance improvement?
*
Miahahaha, lower latency is still a bit better, ur 7-7-7 is still much better than 9-9-9.. But u won't really notice it tho.. hmm.gif

The test that in the graph is stock or overclocked? Not much different from my bro's Phenom II 550..Looks good move from meh...
*
Those graphs are on stock clock setting.. You can see the slight difference between a 2.6ghz X4 620 with 2.8ghz X4 630, it scales with the increase frequency..
But still i would say if u wanna grab one why not wait for the C3 stepping, the C2 stepping stock volt is kinda weird to me, kinda too much for a X4 without L3 hmm.gif

i thought it's still not confirm.. C3? can believe ha? laugh.gif if not, i C4 them
*
Hmmm according to Tomshardware the C3 steppings isn't that far off..
It was confirmed by an AMD rep hmm.gif

Unfortunately, our sample is still a C2 part, although AMD has started switching to the newer C3 stepping. We’ll look at the stepping differences as soon as we can get two otherwise-identical Cs and C3 models. Some time ago, we looked at four virtually identical Athlon 64 X2 5000+ processors that all only differed in their F2, F3, G1, and G2 steppings. Since there were interesting differences then, we’re curious to see whether or not AMD and GlobalFoundries could actually improve some characteristics of the Phenom II core now.
