yalah.. so fast dis thread going!

bout my mites prob.. well.. i see them stabilizing now.. no more dying and dying.. thank god.. but theres still mites on them.. and i afraid by placing a water dish in their container would bring back the mites.. but no water dish, the scorps will die of dehydration..

now i just wait n see..hope the mites will go off..

If u use tissue paper as substrate, how to get mites? The water dish is to let the scorps drink and let the mites drown.

I actually dont understand the thing u say rclxub.gif
FYI,mites will drown in the water dish.
For the mealworms, mind explain? hmm.gif Cos the point i'm getting now is,those mealworms dat die attract mites in the mealworms container, then how come the mites can go for the scorps?U place them near 2gether?

none WC at all.. maybe they come from the mealworms? becoz when i got back home, the mites are full at the mealworm container!! until when i took it to trow out, my hands are sumwhat sticky becoz of the mites covering the whole container!

hyorinmaru: yes, i said it alot of time ady, i put the mealworm conatiner on top of all my scorps individual container, bcoz my house had pest control, thats y i put them together.. so the mites after attacking the dead mealworm, they move on to my scorps container, which was rite beneath the mealrom container.. get the pic?

not angry lor~ just trying to explain hard..lol

i am a bit stress.. not bcoz angry, but tired.. becos i oledi haf alot of scorplings died bcos of this.. really pity them.., and it take a toll on me too.. to scrap all of them, to search all over the hostel, faculty and dustbin for bottle caps, and to individually check on each one..

frm what ive read, in oversea, they use good mites to kill those bad mites.. but that doesnt available here..sad.gif

and i wonder, can we use those mites killer for reptiles? but since the mites infecting reptiles are diffrent from mites infecting scorps n tarantula, i dunno if it would work.. and i dunno if it will effect the scorps itself..

nematodes if not mistaken.. this one really stick to the softer part of the abdomen of ur scorp... im currently plucking them one by one from an infected scorp. kinda hard to get but you can clearly see it..

no, not those pili.. frm what i read, they are good mites, which are also mites, but mites that eat other mites, and die when their job is done..

do u really think those pili can be put into the same container with scorps? either the scorp will kill them, or scorps die..
