rideon, that is very fast of you spinifers to change colour. i don't see mine moving alot and they are still on the mothers back.
it doesn't help that the mother is not moving out of the hide. i can;t see anything yet from my brood. left a cricket in front of the hide but it is still there. hmmm. the mother sure got a lot of reserved in her to not eat this long. |

they have gone a lil darker not dark as in dark.. but its not pure white anymore... the funny part is that one side of the brood are in darker tone and the other side is still cream-ish color... coz the mother gave birth like 4 days...
as for the splings, u can either separate them or communally.. but like lester has said.. have to feed them occasionally so there is no cannibalism and moist the subs... they do drown easily.. coz of their size...for me after these guys touchdown i will make 3 groups... Stay with mother, separate individually and place communally.. there are some theory that the one staying communally n with mum will grow faster compare to the individual ones.. so this is my project.. |

Stay with mother, separate individually and place communally.. there are some theory that the one staying communally n with mum will grow faster compare to the individual ones.. so this is my project.. personally these are my findings from my research ... when the afs scorpling are house together .. they grew the fastest but the lag between the scopling molthing were abt one month different from the 1st scopling molting and the last scorpling molting this might be due to competition of food etc and the 1st to molt will be the boss.... to show the rest who is the boss When afs scorpling are house own it own they tend to molt the slowest.. taking forever to molt .... with compare to afs scolping house together .. the different can different by almost 2 months, my afs scolpings all molted and it is only after 1.5 - 2 months that my afs scorplings that own its own start to molt......one by one .. reasons were unknow........ even tot they were all from the same batch ... i did not conduct any experiment housing the scopling with their mum as i believe that the mum will consume the little ones when it start to be hungry .. it juz the matter of when it start hungry .... do take note on tat .. |
