my previous experience with WD TV on m2ts is quite pleasing albeit that no HD audio.

BD iso or m2ts (in bdmv folder), it makes no difference to me as ar188 pointed out. My 6500 able to play m2ts flawlessly as opposed to bd iso, inconsistently.

as i will put it all in my living room

so with 4bay, it will be nicer + easy
just plug one socket
everything start working

if got 5, 6, 8 bay
i might also consider
for future plan when the movie get bigger

to me   it's least likely that WDTV2 no hdmi since WDTV1 already have.....

Most importantly, it can support HD RMVB  

WDTV stated clearly that it has

1. No HDMI
2. no 1080p
3. Component output up to 1080i
4. plays HD files up to 1080p as long as they are in AVI/RMVB and etc, but not MKV (Which i wonders why)
5. better and improved UI
6. Output AC3/DTS via TOSLINK also
7. very small in size
8. ...

19 connections ?...i only connect the hdmi cable only to the wdtv .....the LCD  already got internal speaker....just wanna test only

yup 3 months old. havent tested yet. no movie

Its funny how people would always blame the player itself.  Could it be the problem with the movie?  Just my thought.

agree with ar188...
wdtv can play around 60% of 1080p mkv files...
but i think 100% of 720p mkv files
correct me if im wrong...

Not sure where they get those numbers.  So i have only come across 1 or 2 mkv that doesn't play on the WDTV.  There are also a few of them that suffers image break up but again those numbers are very small.  I remember i see the A.C.Ryan Playon! HD website states WDTV can play like 50% of the mkv but what do you expect from a company that is trying to sell their own products.

i think what its mean by 60% is that most of the mkv file has high bit rate...
WDTV can support below than 10000 kbps (based on my experience lor)
but sometimes, it can play more than that... dono why

so if u download.. make sure u see the bit rate figure for that mkv file
but for all 720p, u dont worry
can play all without problem
