Go to Authorized Dealer or Maxis Centre to buy, these small booth stores are not that reliable in sales and after sales.

@abubin,
Of course the RM50 under iData is meant as subscription for data charges; U can't combine with your VP50 and make RM100 worth of calls without using data charges. U will still need to pay the RM50 for the data charges whether U use it or not.

@sysh,
Should U sign up on the RM8 for 500 SMS I believe Maxis will not charge you for the first 500 SMS sent out to Maxis calls; they will rebate it back to you and only charge u the remainder + to non Maxis numbers. It should work for whichever plan you're signed on to.

@Iroci,
I think perhaps what the MEP meant is that they can't accept walk-in buyers for now until those who's pre-booked have received their units.

@filexcat,
RM2650 is NOT the right price. The shop's probably trying to make additional RM200 from U. File a complain to Maxis - however I've a feeling that shop is probably not an authorised shop.

@filexcat,
In that case, my suggestion is for U to make a report to Maxis but before U do that, get them to give U something in B&W to say they've quoted you RM2650 instead of RM2450.

When your friend will get the phone ? I book mine at Bayan Point (Bayan Baru) and my friend book one at Queensbay and both of us can get it on this Friday.
For me, I use Hotlink plan, phone price is RM2490 (16G) as post in Maxis web.

Sorry...I think I need to repeat boring and old question again. When I booked my i3Gs, I selected ivalue 100 plan and paid deposit. After calculated this few days. I found that my current value plan rm50 + idata plan rm30 + RM 8 for 500 sms are more suitable for me. Can I change the plan when I go to collect my i3Gs?

Since u've paid the deposit, i think u can still change the plan when u're collecting it.. that was what the Maxis ppl told me..

I did that too.. my initial plan is iValue plan.. then changed it to iData.. when i pay the deposit..

I'm not too sure about that. But what this Wendy from Maxis called, she said "Yes, you can change the plan. Just inform the person from [collection outlet] which plan you would like to change to when you're collecting your iPhone"

But, to play safe.. better call Maxis to confirm.

@Suk
iData 1 with no contract? Then, yes.. you'll need to pay RM2290 when you'r collecting your iPhone..

@Jacky96136,
Yes U are allowed to change the plans when u go collect ur i3GS; U just can't change the i3GS phone U ordered.

@Suk,
Yes that is absolutely right.

1) Why must I pay? What happens to my pre-booking deposit?
The RM 200 pre-booking deposit is to confirm your online booking registration. The amount will be used to minus off from your total iPhone 3G S unit price according to your selected package. Should you choose a package whereby the iPhone 3G S unit price is less than RM 200 (8GB model, iValue 4, 24 months contract), your deposit will be rebated to your phone bill.

This means that even you take whatever plan, the RM200 will be deducted from your iphone price ain't it?

@tinkerbel

Thanks for your info. I hope is it true. ivalue plan really not worth at all. Now I just worry MEP store not allow me to change the plan.

My nearby MEP store sales person attitude very bad. Last time when I was there for deposit payment. I need to use credit card, but the girl told me cannot due they are MEP store. They need cash for deposit.

After I paid deposit by cash. I ask her is it i can collect my i3Gs on 1/8/2009 since i selected in my booking page. She replied me not really. She explanation is i3Gs launch on 31/7, so maybe I only can get my phone after 31/7 but cannot confirm 1/8 can give me. Sigh~

@zeropulse,
Yes that is absolutely right. In the case of iValue 4 plan, the RM200 will be credited into your monthly Maxis bill.

In foreign country. I can say YES. You can get ur phone on ur selected date. But for Malaysia. I'm a bit worry. Especially sales person's attitude. If I cannot get my phone on 1/8, I sure will scold them like hell.

I went to Sunway Maxis center this evening and asked about changing plans.

The lady staff confirmed with her senior staff that changing plan is possible but not the i3GS itself.

So, I'm going to change my plan as well nod.gif

@Mr Kong,
The RM200 is not refundable. Your best bet is to "sell" that pre-order to someone who really wants the i3GS.

Also..... please stop all talk on i3GS collection because this isn't the right thread `k? All posts regarding the matter will be nuked immediately.
