QUOTE(radio_head @ Jul 15 2009, 11:48 PM) come on, organizers are really bad... First of all, we will like to apologize if we take too much time to reply at some point. But for some of the players/"potential" players, we are students ourselves and delay some of our respond because we have classes and assignments just like every students, so on behalf of my team I'm sorry about it.no info or whatsoever on anything... come on guys, u open a thread, reply to it man... every game also not listed format... im thinking twice about joining already. Also, we are NEW and understand the flaws, so we consulted GGC and ESPGL to help us in our game organization. Kindly make this thread as healthy as possible and try to understand our position, our team is not as big as those companies, so try to understand. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and we will update you very soon every SINGLE details that we have confirmed, because if we just simply put some stuff ,we will get fire back. Also, Dear radio_head, if you are unhappy, kindly send email to me or my team, and please don't flame here. Thank you for your cooperation! its not flaming lar...
u list down so many games, takkan ur organising commitee never plan beforehand what's the format... btw, im asking about PES/FIFA la... im sure you all held meetings before announcing this, i mean, srsly, how can you expect people to be interested if you don't tell anything other then time/place/date/price. ok, i simplify your job ok..i ask u the questions. 1. what platform? ps2/ps3/pc 2. format - single elimination/groups stage? 3. time per round 4. max subs allowed 5. any banned teams? 6. player condition 7. weather/stadium etc etc that's all. i understand you as students quite busy la. but we as players also need to know before we commit. cyberjaya is quite far from where i stay and i also dont want to go there waste rm30 + time + petrol to find out im not suited to the format or wtv. these are really simple details, ntg really complex. hope you can provide a clear answer asap. to be honest, I don't think RM30 is reasonable registration fee for a college-level game competition. If your aim is to promote e-sports, you may really need to think twice again on setting back the fee to a "healthy level".
GDC should have enough experiences in organizing gaming competition. You might really need to learn the past mistakes made from your seniors. |

If your aim is to promote e-sports, you may really need to think twice again on setting back the fee to a "healthy level". dear choongyouqi, thank you for your quote in our frums. was looking for a head marshal for my FIFA09 actually, and wanted to contact you. I'll like to apologize in advance if any wrong-doings by the previous seniors (who is your friend) and my batch have to do with you. GDC should have enough experiences in organizing gaming competition. You might really need to learn the past mistakes made from your seniors. I understand the registration for the Fees is quite high especially for FIFA, but I hope you can understand the cash prize money (that you definitely understand very well) is not sponsored. It is from the participants registration fees that we collect. And thinking on the participants side, at some point we do need to consider the organizers especially on the amount of participants that we need to have in order to break even. I understand during your time, participants were very little and you might be unhappy about it, and you definitely know that we do not want that to happen too right. Apart from that, we are still in the midst of discussing the registration fees, because at the moment we are hoping that on our MMU side they will provide us more fundings so that we can lower down the prize. I'm truly grateful for your help and truly wish that any misconduct that we have done, please kindly consult us immediately through PM or email, unless you want to see the event not running on the very smooth side. Please contact me ASAP. Thank you! Added on July 19, 2009, 2:10 am QUOTE(deevon @ Jul 18 2009, 09:14 PM) yea, GDC really did bad in organizing closed competition last time, they even had players(me and another friend of mine) to organize the whole thing for them for cs1.6 dear deevon, I think you got my personal message already. And I never know that you have offered such a noble help to us the other time because I wasn't around. however, I just wish you can understand that we are still students and not all of us are great organizer or great gamer like you all, but we can't deny that for every mile , it always start from the first step right. thus, we are sorry for the misconduct done last time, but definitely people can improve on that, as seniors may tell us the right ting to do for the following events right. and for the RECORD, this time we have GGC (flying spaghetti monster) people to assist us in organizing CS1.6. I hope it is a great exposure for us to improve from our mistakes, and truly apologize for the misconduct last time. anyway, you are one of the forumers that bring back cs1.6, i hope you meant your word to join our event. I hope you guys understand that comparing the amount prizes that we are offering. it wont be good to the sponsors and also if I reduced the cash prizes. we will confirm the payment fees by this tues after tomolo meeting with the heads, also, for those who have paid, we will refund according to the latest fees. Thank you! |
