Ahh..!~ Ppl... really need a solution to my hedgie pooping on my hand issue!! :/ i think it has pooped like.. 5 out of 7-8 times i have brought it out to play. =,= Worried if i don't get rid of this habit soon later when she grows older then it'll be harder to get rid of the habit.. Maybe my hand's warm and comfy? Or maybe she's still so scared till she poops? @@

\Try scooping up a bit of bedding when yo wanna take the hedgehog out. this way, you won't get stung. Another reason is that, he/she is not used to your smell. Try putting your worn tshirt into the cage to get him used to your smell.

spray frontline on the body and make sure you don't spray anywhere near the face (best from ear and below). there's another type but i'm using frontline so that's the only i'm recommending.

shower your hoglet about an hour after spraying.

remove bedding and use newspaper as temporary bedding. change them daily and monitor if there are any more moving 'flakes' in the cage.

If u suspect ur hedgie infected with mites, u can use a black cloth and carry ur hedgie to the black cloth and rub its back . Then see if the black cloth has any white dots moving. IF u saw any tiny white dots, it means its infected with mites.
