I bought quite a small bag, cost me bout RM20. RC36 i saw in the shop, they sell in quite a huge quantity, quite exp. Maybe i'll get from lyn ppl selling in smaller quantities.. But somehow my new hedgehog isn't really eating or drinking yet.. >< Doesn't wanna touch the food... worried its cuz of the RC 33.

Normally I think hedgies berak when they run...same thing for my hedgie as well...so called toilet trained la...but on the wheel sure got berak one...

aaron,
Hedgie is quite a picky eater actually. Most probably, he/she is not familiar still with the surroundings. What did the previous owner feed him/her? Try getting the same type and mix a portion of RC to slowly change his/her diet. If not you can wait it out like what I did last time until the fella had no choice but to eat what I give. Too hungry de... Haha...

i suggest u to remove the grill and put substrate inside the litter box...
Perhaps the substrate can be old newspapers as suggested by some members...
quite easy to clean up icon_rolleyes.gif ...provided your hedgie didnt try to chew or tear the newspaper apart sweat.gif

yup that's another option..i think natural (without scent) wood shave will do. thumbup.gif
just that some people said wood shave can promote mites inhabitant... sweat.gif

haha, then it should be okay i guess...i myself been using CHIPSI CLASSIC as substrate since it's cheap and my hedgies love to sleep onto it...
for mites prevention, i just spray some FRONTLINE once a month onto their back...
