Too bad my TV and PS3 is in my room and not the living room. Could have done things like Quist's current gatherings. Only problem is theres not much people in LYN forum thats from my area

There were however some people in our local Arcades thats getting some feel for the game. Sad though that the joysticks and buttons no standard types. Would be more fun to play if its Sanwa or Seimitsu

I dun own a PSP sadly, but there are some torrents available for the games. You could try isohunt.com coz thats where i went last time when i borrowed a PSP from a friend. There was one web also but its all in chinese, I can't make heads or tails about it

Speaking of which dude, still havn't get a good session with ya yet Guess most of you guys went to the PC instead on the PS3

In a sense, usually experienced players can counter their way out of FA. Especially if the FA already absorbs a hit, cause your open ofter that absorbtion. Sometimes you could back dash after u absorb the hit and punish back what the opponent does afterwards. Just a mental thing to do on your opponents

You gotta be less trigger happy on Shoryukens dude, too easy for ppl to punish you back once they start waiting on it
I also think you lack discussions with some buddies offline, maybe you should join some of the guys gatherings so you may get some more ideas for playing

But the Highend Sanwa parts they said its more durable and better then those fitted in TE. Inclusive for both JLF sticks and also the buttons. Never feel it yet, dunno if hanz wanna bring that in

I'm not too sure about it myself, only heard a few stories from hanz and few other ppl. Maybe I'll just ask hanz to order the things and I'll give it a go Need some stock for future replacements also

You were doing ok actually dude, just need more practice I everyday will spend at least 1-2 hours just in training mode wack dummy only

Yea, I remember you although we only played for the 2nd time yesterday

I must say that, you didn't use the Gadouken AT ALL yesterday. Only did the air Gadouken. Which isn't a good way to play for Akuma. Akumas strength is in his Gadouken mixups to confuse your opponents. Some tips you may find useful as a Akuma player;

Use the Air Gadouken on wake ups (means target the Air Gadouken when your opponents about to stand up from a fall). This is rather helpful to pressure opponents other from Shoto chars. From there you can split your attacks to a few things

1. Forward+MP for an overhead attack (for opponents who's blocking low)
2. Crouch attacks (for opponents blocking high)
3. Throw (dun spam LP+LK cause will fail from grabbing. Capture a little time )
4. Jump attacks (Air Gadouken inclusive also)

These are usually the basic strategies you could go for with Akuma but experienced players usually have their ways to break it. But that is a different story just keep on practicing and keep on playing and you'll be able to find the your own way of play the game

Tips on Gen?

Honestly, I havnt played a Gen so I myself can't give you ideas Just tell you a few things that needs to becareful from.

His footsies has really high range, the MK-HP(Rapid) move. Good range for pokes and lots of hits to help charge up on the Super Meter. Try to avoid if can

Gens crosses up his opponents easy cause he has 2 ways of doing it. Jumping MK for each of his stances (Mantis & Crane). Crane jumps further and faster so you need to keep note what stances his using.

He has a few good Anti Airs at his disposal only problem is, I havnt got myself to use it very well

And dun worry, I'll give out advises the best I can for anyone who wants it. Only difference is that I'm a rather agressive player and my advises may not work on players who usually turtle Turtling has their own strategies to play (which normally I lose to them )

There are other ways of using Air Gadoukens on wake ups, some examples are like knockdowns, throws, after a super and such. Just need to keep experimenting what can work for your game. Footsies are a good gameplay but for pressure, I still think using Air Gadouken can work wonders. Maybe next time we'll have a mirror match and probably you can get my meaning

So far I dun really have any problems with local players. Most of the time with big issues are with people outside of Asia
