If it's 'crazily expensive' by common standards, I have a million and one ways to kill that idea. I feel very happy and proud, now that I've practised self-restraint to exhibit more spite. We all have to show love and respect to each other to live harmonious as fellow brothers and sisters.

So, I am assuming it's 'crazily expensive' by your standards - anyway its price still stands. I really think it's a good deal smile.gif

There, I've played your game. Sorry for going off-topic.

Hi lastlion,

Congratulations on the PS3 purchase - I'm sure the journey to get it is a very satisfying one. And if SF4's one of the reasons to get it (including the many other exclusive titles), I wish you all the fun you can ever have with it!

You can find the user list on the first page, and if you're unsure who the active ones are do check back a few pages from this thread to see who's been posting recently - that may help a lot.

Nah, it's not serious. Just had to pay a hefty fender-bender bill for both cars and didn't want it on record. That's all. Thanks, tho.

I see myself as an opportunist and just want to stay liquid as it's close to year-end. Also a very good opportunity to pass on things we are sometimes too attached to. That way can we truly be masters of our own selves. Cut loose that emotional connection and then see the bigger picture and then can consider ourselves worthy to proceed to the next level.

Here's how the masters do it:

Actually, it can be done with the Ultra also. Infact, almost all oh Gouki's normal button presses can be canceled to Ultra. Funny game engine Capcom give to him biggrin.gif

EDIT: You should see my friend do the Walking Raging Demon, ITS SOOOOO COOLL~!!!!!! but not practical for use haha
*
All done via Tsuji-links right? Can I confirm if the walking RD is just the faster cancelling of fwd+strong? Because I get that if I did it too fast, before the chop-chop comes out.

Great write-up, Senzr!

question here...can Gief reversal Ultra Akuma's Raging Demon? if timed correctly i mean..

if can then i guess i will practice that to perfection.
*
Though not encouraged, in really no hope situations yes, and bear in mind Ultra RD travels very fast. More practical, is jump back -> land after RD travels below you, then ex-green hand.

Unless you're Andrew. He can simply tech hit the Ultra RD once Akuma catches him. Even Akuma doesn't want to mess with him.

Ok, good luck with the tournament guys. All's fair in love, war and SF4.

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1142170

Saturday. 29/08/2009. Sony Style Subang Parade. Registration free, 12pm onwards. Group matches start 2pm. Knock-out matches should be interesting and will definitely have upsets.

To people who simply think they are not as good or are just average, all the better reason to attend. It's first-hand experience at real pressure where everyone plays to win. Even if you don't want to participate, you can still be a spectator and meet like-minded fans who simply are there because they love the game. I think any good or decent player will be more than happy to share tips too.

Happy to share this, though I'm just a regular player myself.

QUOTE(kcalvin @ Sep 1 2009, 12:27 PM)
dc so much yesterday. about to give up sf4... dare say it's the most expensive ps3 game i've bought so far heh

sf4 ps3 game = RM185
sf4 pc game = RM119
hori fs3 stick = RM245
costume packs = ~RM50

That's a sheet load of currency!

The pc version, other than near instantaneous connections to other players, it is still very possible to get disconnected. Some of the random blokes i challenged in champ and rank mode already have 4-5% dc rate. Was hoping sf4 pc would not suffer the same problem. Perhaps it's my line, or my router, or a combination of screamyx and playstation server issues. But i don't understand why i can play pc strategy games without lag with local friends but can't even sustain a sf4 match consistently. Some days it's great, some days it saks. Koyak case.

I feel for you too, I am having the same issues hence I've given up on online play over PSN. What do you think of offline play? For starters if you have friends around your area you can organize a session to train SF together. Otherwise, when Alan has some friendly invites over to Outpost everyone is most invited (you just need to spend on food/drinks there to be fair).

This is his thread:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/937715

More importantly, you can make even more friends through offline play and be better at your game by sharing tips and having lagless fight experience. To get the most of my limited SF time, at home I will usually conduct online research for my character then apply what I've learned to Training Mode. Off and on I'll play online but with very low expectations to improve.

With all our broadband shortcomings, it's prudent we adapt smartly - things are NOT going to change for quite sometime.

Hatred:

Now that you have the white casing, I suggest a loud ORANGE background on top with matching buttons and balltop. The orange contrast will be magnified by the nature of the shiny plexi.

Whites may not be your thing because they differ from the colour of your casing, which is slightly beige - but they are nice contrasts to the orange background.

To give you a rough idea on what blends well, take a look at Elena's stage:

For even wilder imaginations, type "Orange fetish" at Deviantart (NSFW), and some of the art there are simply gorgeous.

Thanks Brastel. So we know the rankings are based on recent tourney results. I think there's other players worth mentioning too:

Ryu: Togawa
Honda: Umeso
Blanka: Mizo-teru, HOT
Viper: Gasshuku, Dashio
Dictator: Umezono
Guile: Yoshio. Yazu

And many more!

Hi Joe,

So sorry you're a bit too late! Earlier while awaiting for the massive KL jam to clear someone already called my mobile to share the purchase.

I'm sure there's other people who will be definitely glad to share this good deal with you.

juz CODed wif him. saw another 2 units but he said someone has paid for them, i guess they r yours, rawfish smile.gif

Congrats! Very happy for you. I didn't make it in time too, so there's no loss. Very glad other people get to buy this great stick at a great price. At RM350 each it's a real steal. It's just like the Fry's Electronics's bargain @ US89+ they had in the States. So be proud of your purchase, and don't feel bad slamming the damn thing with whichever character you play with - it's built to last! *looks at keen2keen*

More importantly, these things are not limited too. So everyone can buy them. Asian non-SF4 versions are coming soon too.

I was very impressed with Yeb too - reminded me of my kena-tarpao sessions with Phuyrix! !%@^#^$% ahahaha sweet lovely memories of 18-hit combo deaths wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

I think Yeb did not really tarpao fLoe because Sagat being Sagat, still got the health/damage advantage and that dangerous Ultra. Having played Sagat before, I can see why fLoe did not *** (TIger Uppercut) much. It's hard to *** Gen because of his short jumps and low float-time (lands fast, and hard to juggle too). If Gen kena ***, there goes the health advantage as both sides were fighting inch-by-inch by the life bar. That's why Sagat did not *** Gen much hoho.

I absolutely love the Marn vs Valle matches! Really epic battle between the East & West Coast. Spoilers ahead!

I've yet to see other videos, especially ones with Yeb but will try to catch up in my free time. Search 'West Coast War Zone' in YouTube for your tourney fix!

Hi,

I just got my PC version of SF4 from STEAM.

My Madcatz SE fightstick dont work on my PC. After google around for solution it seems the SE PS3 version dont work with your PC if your PC is running Nvidia chipset.

Anybody has any solution?

Does Hori fightstick work on the PC? i may need to get 1.

Thanks

Hi wliat,

FYI, perhaps you would like to explore on PCI-based USB cards first. Worth a try:

Thanks on your feedback dude, the mantis super goes through fireballs was a 1st to me. Didn't know there was some invincible properties there.

As for the vids, seeing the way rokotsu playing gave me a little idea since strategy wise fighting Gief is always run and gun. Well, we'll just see if I can play it smart going against your Gief next time cheers.gif
*
In all of Yeb's WCWZ matches I did not see Gen passing through any fireballs. The only instance was when he caught Ed Ma offguard by doing Fierce Mantis Super a full screen away against a jumping back air FB Akuma. Oh man, Yeb's definitely the star of that tourney.

I wanna see how he does when people start to wise-up and learn the Gen matchup in-depth. There's gonna be a tourney in Ohio this Oct "Season Beatings 4".. and Daigo gon be there. Ive heard some people gonna try and beat Daigo with console chars(in hoping that he lacks matchup knowledge).. Not sure Yeb gon be there or not. But then again, ive heard Jibbo's Gen is much better.

Don't know if Yeb and the rest of the San Diego crew are going, they're console-character specialists! (Gen, Cammy, Sakura, etc). They have to travel across like 3,500km across the States to reach Ohio. I think the East Coast guys are hungry for Daigo!

Dude. It's just that lately I don't see YOU posting anything that adds value to this thread. Do you see anyone here openly expressing their disdain for pads? If you have nothing else better to say, then I suggest your instigating self to not troll public forums if you do not wish people to label you as such. This matter has been widely discussed and leads to nowhere.

But then again, this is LYN. Having any argument with the minority village people here is just like posting at GameFAQs. I am sure that there's many SF gamers here whom would like to have a dedicated forum to find like-minded locals where we can discuss character-specific strategy, match-ups, hardware and such (including specially dedicated social sections to TROLL around). But we don't have that now.

There, I'm feeding you. Hope you're happy.
