but the laptop aside from the heat really 1 good performance laptop with an ultra affordable price

But seriously, I don't think it's THAT hot lar, you can try under-volt it, and the CnQ is quite good from my previous experience.

my desktop can boil egg lar, no joke...

I know Tha Intel PukeBurst can, as for athlonx2, I doubt it is THAT hot as it didnt reach 75'C even when i torture it kaw kaw. Not sure about the laptop tho, but I would just tweak it and live with it, instead of cash out 1k more.... bo lui bo pien lo

i just got mine (k40ab) and to be honest it wasn't very hot, even when gaming. i think it differs from unit to unit.

I would just get it, so far i never had any problem with amd proc, PLUS I had so much fun tweaking my rig that It would be a SIN if i don't do it on my 1st ever lappie

touch the upper right side area near the hinge and the place u plug in the adapter
other areas are NOT hot at all except for that place
scroll back few pages for confirmation of the temp.....

but apart from the heat the performance is REALLY AMAZING
everything is fast and very responsive using Vista without any tweaks
installation of Windows was a breeze
gaming was great with the 4570

apart from the heat the only other thing i can think of is the short battery life...

I would undervolt it and prolly mess around with prime95, fusion etc.... I had quite a faith in asus build quality and 2 years warranty
