Now make me afraid of buying skin for laptop..need a pro? send to TS lor ...just "lepak" there just now...bout the temp, it really depends on the cooling pad used i guess but so far i think Asus notebook does not require 1. ..btw as in high temp, how high is it? test the unit on the spot, not bad wor =="..can play left 4 dead smoothly..loved the screen and the keyboard seems not bad wor ...only disadvantage is it's lacks a HDMI port ( i need that XD)

need pro to install skin meh? Install skin easier cuz its not easy to scratch the lid and if scratch also nvr mind. But LCD protector diff ler, harder and if u accidentally scratch it, its there every time u stare on it

Yea.. My N50VN when normal use is only 42 Celsius. But when playing game it can reach up to 55-56 Celsius..Actually not bad at all for a notebook have such ventilation

guys, asus royal club located at IMBI plaza, do they open on friday, saturday n sunday? anyone knows their busines hour? coz i only got free time after friday prayer onwards. if they open til night, i might go there after friday prayer today.

for my T9550, a low 6x C is recorded when running 3D Mark 06...

they open monday to friday only. From 10a.m to 7 p.m

They need a week or so to replace my screen n thank god they say it is under warranty(although the guy said we'll check it but it's under warranty). I asked them to replace the damaged casing(posted months ago) n he quoted me around rm300 coz cracked casing is considered as human error . right now im just waiting for their call n hopefully it wont be too long >.<

Well, EEE PC and Asus laptop are the same. It's just different name. For netbook, they named it Eee Series.
When comes to warranty wise, it's still the same. Parts and labour included during warranty period. It's just different in the length of the warranty itself.

I've been using K40AB for a few days now,and this is what I think about it.

Pros:
- cheap, good spec
- HD4570 GPU for below RM2500, with HD3200 onboard to save power
- 250GB HDD
- very nice L.E.D LCD screen, better than my Dell 1704FPT at home
- very quiet running after Windows load
- pretty fast for moderate gaming (CnC: KW, CoD2, H.A.W.X all run at high at native resolution)
- onboard VIA audio codec support SRS Premium Sound, sounded rather good when properly tweaked

Cons:
- hot running (60-70C idle with the back cover close) because unbelivably low fan speed, and there are no way to turn it up
- sketchy PowerXpress (may be due to RC Windows 7 or its drivers)
- touchpad could be better with side scroll
- for keyboard shorcut, it need an enormous amount of system process to get it working (more than 5)
- HD4570 is new, anything to tweak it is nearly impossible to find, even the driver is hard to find, latest 9.6 Beta needs INF tweak to get it work, Mobility Cat Modder won't work with HD 4XXX series yet
