Hey guys,
An AV technician told me that since i will be sitting more than 3 times the recommended distance from a 50 S10 then i might as well get the cheaper X10 because i wont be able to tell the different between Full HD and HD from such a distance. How true is this? To truly notice the FULL HD 1080p i must sit very much closer as the recommended sitting which is 2 or 3 times the height of the screen. Please advice on this matter. |

QUOTE(viknesh99 @ Sep 22 2009, 09:13 PM) Guys, How much you pay for the Pana P50S10K at Weng Hing as I'm considering to purchase either P50S10K or P42S10K ? After considering Samsung B650 and Pana for sometime, decided and bought the Pana P50S10K at Weng Hing The price you paid for, did it include other items i.e. HDMI cable, etc? Any idea how much is Pana P42S10K at Weng Heng? Also, any Bros can share the info on where to procure the Pana plasma at the lowest possible price?? Cheers!! |

QUOTE(ar188 @ Sep 25 2009, 09:36 AM) somehow that;'s quite true.. I also thought its only 10 to 15% only until i saw the 42X in Desa for RM2599. And that also before bargaining. I guess now, the X is priced really really cheap.but then if the price difference (say between a 42 X and S is only 10-15%) then why not get the higher end model which gives you more than twice the number of pixels? |

Or maybe we should all not buy and watch TV and hoping for one fine day, we get cheap price like what the American are getting. I am guessing you don't buy TV in M'sia and got yours from the State? Just curious |

Unlike the 50S10, in US its RM2800 and here RM6000. Big difference. But then again, still not worth the risk. If rosak, nobody would repair it. Even Pana Msia would refuse to repair it. |

Blu-ray players from US no problem.. even a massive Mark seaton Subwoofer, one fella here is getting it shipped from the states today.. so what's the issue... ?? QUOTE(ar188 @ Sep 25 2009, 12:05 PM) hello.?. I was talking to mr tan who frequently does price comparisons on Flat panel displays in US market.. LOL chill dude. It was just an innocent question toward a person as wise as u. There is no need to be so defensive. Why is it that every time some one ask a question and another person just gotta shoot him down.Added on September 25, 2009, 12:12 pm besides with your kind of logic, we should all buy RM149 blu-ray discs from speedy then? if the logistical part (freight and risk of damage) is not a big concern, I don't see why any one is limited to buying things in malaysia just because we live here... if SG, Dvico or dune cheaper then buy there.. if LV in japan cheaper I get there.. if BD are cheaper in Amazon US or UK, I get there as well.. why not.. small bookshelf speakers GBP 99 (here selling over 1k) can get people to hand carry back from UK also.. no problemo.. QUOTE(ar188 @ Sep 25 2009, 01:57 PM) I am guessing you don't buy TV in M'sia and got yours from the State? Just curious I compare prices between Malaysia and US to see how much we are getting conned here. Plasma manufacturers in Malaysia, especially their sales and pricing department monitor this particular forum to get feedback. Good to inform them that consumers are not stupid.your question wasn't that innocent.. sounds sarcastic.. but no prob.. chill.. anyway michaeltan likes to compare prices overseas, so we were just xchanging and update information on prices of stuff across the world.. Of course some things are not worth bringing it down as the freight and risk you mentioned is very important. As for plasma, it is more worth it to buy in Malaysia soley for warranty sake. It is also physically not viable to carry it on board an aircraft and sending it through luggage is asking for trouble. We all know how the luggage handlers throw luggage around like football. Somethings that can carry is worth it though, I bought my Bang and Olufsen system in the UK for abt RM18,000. It was small and could carry in my cabin bag. Here, it is sold for RM40,000. Warranty is 2 years International. So I saved a lot. |
