Yup similar to the Shallows and 47 Meters Down but more gory.
It's alligator btw, not crocodile but yeah should be more or less similar capability. The only explanation is maybe the Gators were further away and also didn't immediately noticed her when she swam to the boat. ☺️
Hmmm....
I always thought that Crocs are the "fat" face ones and Gators are the thin face ones... Or is it the other way round...

So, no, humans cannot swim faster than a crocodile.
Even with this boo boo, this movie is one heck of an entertaining movie.
Urmmm...B-movie premise la, high suspension of disbelief is the point! In reality the movie ends when Haley got mauled the first time. She can run and swim like a champion afterward. Gator chomping her hand also no worries. At the end, the pacing and tension overshadowed those minor movie logic nitpicking.

Yes, wounds don't go septic, people don't bleed to death, you mean these tiny normal everyday logic??
Oh yeah, I forgot, she is an Apex Predator!!
Having said that, pretty "fun" movie.
Steven Spielberg (Jaws) should be proud.

There are some rumblings that there is another TV series in the making.... not sure if that is happening. And quite sure, script writer, Kevin Williamson is not involved...

The TV series was not good but still watchable. They rebooted the TV series for the 3rd season and it was worst than the first 2 seasons. Laughable bad. Do not waste your time with the rebooted 3rd season
Well, casting is great. Apart from Bill (James McAvoy), the other adult casts do look like their younger counterpart.
James Ransone really capture his younger counterpart mannerism. Kudos
The direction and cinematography started great. Shots were well planned and followed on well with what was done in the first movie.
Story-wise... it suffers a little.
And I blame the source material.
This movie suffers the same issue I had with the book.
The cutting back and forth between the past and present, made the flow of the movie a little clunky at times.
I am also not sure if they shot the kids bits during the first episode, because they look the same as when they were in the first movie (eg. kids grow up so quickly)
I did guess Richie Tozier's secret and I have to admit, I got the subject wrong.... Am I making sense?
So, overall, great movie.
Would have been better if there are more scary.
As per usual, the above is my two sen.

I skipped "IT Chapter Two" and chose this instead. No regrets.
Samara Weaving really has a niche for horror roles.
First saw her on the TV show "Ash vs Evil Dead" and then on Netflix "The Babysitter". She has that classic look but can go ape sh*t when it matters.
"Ready or Not" is hyper violent with comedy thrown in. You will laugh out loud and cringe at moments. At just over 90 minutes, it doesn't waste any time to throw you into the game and when it kicks off, it rarely takes a breather.
Loved the ending, as I wasn't sure IF it really was the case or they're just
This and "Us" are the best horror films I've seen this year in cinema.

"Ready or not" is damn fun. BTW Samara Weaving is Agent Smith's niece. If Margot Robbie unable to take up a role, the producer should go to Samara. At certain angle, both of them looks identical.
Tigers Are Not Afraid - A "3 wishes" dark fantasy.
A bit like Pan's Labyrinth, about children using a fairy tale myth to deal with harsh reality. A lawless Mexico town where orphaned kids are casualty of Cartel crimes. A spirit/demon started to haunt our lead girl right before her mother disappearance. The last moment the girl had with her mother is retelling a tale of a princess granted with 3 wishes. From there it's about the orphaned girl surviving the harsh conditions and the spirit egging her to use the 3 wishes. Of course being a dark fantasy, those wishes comes with consequences. The fantasy and horror are a reflection of the Cartel injustice. Not your usual Hollywood's garbage.
Both films were well-directed, good production, fun characters & sufficient carnage scenes...but those are merely steering of the vehicle.... the engine...which is plot, storyline was really...meh
Kinda startin to lose hope on horror genre man. Those were the days...
