Theoretically both should be the same right since both are lossless?

Like zip vs rar, once uncompressed the content is the same.

Nope, even the DVD is 2.39:1 ratio.

By the way, at Ezy Video Sg Wang, those RM79.90 concerts like David Foster, you can ask for further discount. My friend bought it for RM75.00 only.

Not sure, didn't ask. I've also bought David Foster from Amazon. The Celine Dion's AQ is still better than David Foster in my opinion.

Both TrueHD and DTS HD MA are available via bitstream, so both of them are in a different camp than PCM.

One question
If the winrar vs winzip concept applies on dolby truehd and dts-hdma
are they using the same loseless source?
It's just the different methods/codecs of decoding the loseless audio
the one we'll be hearing in the end is the same loseless source
am i right?

YOU ARE RIGHT SIR.

The winzip-winrar concept is true, with the PCM is the original format from the studio master. All are lossless.

But Dolby and DTS labs have their own standard regarding the EQ, dB level and LFE top cut-off (if it's THX-certified the cut-off must be 80Hz). DTS, might have higher dB for LFE or certain other frequencies, while Dolby might be the opposite.

But the DETAILS of the original source is BIT-BY-BIT IDENTICAL to any codecs, all lossless. You won't hear anything extra on any type of lossless codec. Only different is the loudness on certain frequencies.

watched FF7 AC yesterday

puzzled because some scenes look alien for me

did some googling then only realize that it is an extended version more than 30 mins

hence they called it FF7 AC Complete doh.gif silly me

make the whole story less confusing for 1st time viewer

best thing is the special features

FF Remembrance - take you through FF1 - FF12 ( a bot too short)

FF7 Compilation - walk you chronologically through the FF7 saga starting from FF7: Crisis Core to the FF7 mobile game (forgot name) to the original FF7 game to FF7 Advent Chidren and even the after event in FF7: Dirge Of Cirberius
