BTW, also heard some UK's BD (especially from Amazon UK) delivered un-seal and/or un-wrap, WTF?

I have like 4-5 cracked plastic case (mostly at the top or bottom part of spine; where the title appear at the side) from Amazon US. But I don't think they are cracked while shipment... I suspected already cracked at the fulfilment centre, while they are packing them...

Added on July 15, 2009, 12:12 pmSame case here wif my X-Men Trilogy boxset from Amazon US... where my X-Men: The Last Stand spine casing cracked (a hole there!!). But the whole boxset was secured wif vacuum-packed placed firmly inside Amazon's parcel. Luckily the other 2 titles are ok.

ps - Hey toratora, were your 3 X-Men titles wrapped/sealed individually in the boxset? Mine was not... only the boxset is sealed

I guess the studio did receive complains/reactions from consumers before, that's why... it'll be a waste if that ugly thing appear permanently on ur sleek H'lander Steelbook man...
I know it's the BBFC's fault, because that's the regulation... but they don't have to put up the ratings logo up front & so big some more. They can always put it at the back (like what US MPAA did) and it's all neat.

Finally, got my hands on The Bourne Trilogy, I bought it during the USD$8 discount (wif The Mummy Boxset)

This is a single disc 10th Anniversary Edition DigiBook... want to peep inside to flip through the book but cannot open...this for a friend lar... Mine is waiting to be shipped from Amazon.

And for the first time for me, the parcel came in through a yellow bubble-padded envelope (unlike in a box normally) and it was shipped from Germany instead.... dats probably why it was faster than if it's shipped from the US.



Hmmm... dat would make each BD cost RM100 right? (say if each one costs RM150). And was it $PEEDY at the old wing and Movie Magic (which owns $PEEDY, I think) at the new wing too?

Talking about cheap BDs sold in M'sia, yesterday I went to EZY VIDEO at Sg. Wang and I saw quite a number of titles sold at RM99.90 & RM119.90!! Not bad, but didn't have time to browse thoroughly as I need to rush

Maybe not all outlet... I didn't see any blu-ray B2G1 at $PEEDY Subang Parade; when I was there last Thursday...

$PEEDY is GREED¥!!! No matter what... they're a rip-off. Like, if it's really a B2G1 promotion, put it up front la... BIG2, then more customer will come & buy. Instead, they still want to rip customer off... especially to those not aware of the B2G1 promotion! Blardee Custard

I long2 ago already boycott $PEEDY the GREED¥... I'd rather give my money to other local outlets dats honest; like EZY VIDEO or ROCK CORNER!!

I dunno whether this helps... it's easy to identify Region A US release: there's a white sticker (wif barcode & title) at the top of almost every casing except boxsets. Well I guess most will know the UK/Europe's Region B release.. the thicker casing & the super-duper UGLY ratings logo on the cover!

$PEEDY sold mostly Region A Asian releases (maybe from HK?) and this comes WITHOUT the top sticker. The other way to look at it is the alternate languages and/or subtitles option will consist mostly of Asians rather than Spanish, French etc. The other clue is, there's a white empty box at the backcover where a barcode supposedly to be placed...

But one thing good about what $PEEDY is selling on their rack is that we're assured that those titles ARE region-free (unlock) and/or playable on our Asian BDP or PS3! (I'm referring more towards the UK ones actually...)

DARN, Amazon really have to change the way they're labelling their BDs description la... keep using "Region 1" instead of "Region A"... very confusing la they...

Haha... hey, I still own that Air Force One R1 dvd myself... if you really compare the two aspect ratios of this movie, the 4:3 one is actually not "pan & scan" like most other releases at that time but an "open matte" instead; so no "re-formatted" was actually done.

Anyways, almost 50% of the dvd market have the dual aspect ratio option back in the days because even in the US, they're still using 4:3 CRT TV. Well at least better than having a "flipper disc" dvd where you have to flip the disc over halfway through a movie to continue watching (like Laser Disc) !!!?! I own like 4 flipper-disc dvd: The Pelican Brief, Se7en, Universal Soldier & Stargate.

Have never tried watching 3D movies in home dvds before, let alone blu-rays. If curious, maybe can try buying the ones that have both 3D & 2D version in one... like My Bloody Valentine
