Yup. There's a big billboard of UP just around the corner of my house, he sees that everyday and asks about it each time since 2 months ago. Just strange that it takes almost 3 months after USA for this movie to release here. Nowadays most movies opens either on the same day or earlier than USA.

Anyway, even though he's much closer to his mom, me and Aiman really have same interest for movies. Can you believe it, when he was 3 years old, we watched October Sky and he stayed awake staring at the TV until the end, never bothered to get up and play with his toys. I can never forget that. biggrin.gif

The First Official Photo From James Cameron’s Avatar

user posted image

So what is in the photo? Sam Worthington plays Jake Sully a paraplegic war veteran, who gets the opportunity to travel to another planet, Pandora, to work with a mining operation. Because the planet is so harsh, traditional armor and envirosuit solutions are not good enough to protect miners, and a clone program has developed in which DNA from humans and Na’vi, the natives that inhabit Pandora, are combined. The result is essentially a cloned Na’vi that can house the consciousness of an individual with human DNA. This means that Jake will be able to walk again. The photo above shows Sully in front of the tank that houses his Avatar.

20th Century Fox will be holding a special preview of 15-minutes of Avatar on August 21st, in an event called Avatar Day.

AVATAR, been waiting for it since late 1990s, read a few pages of the spec script already. My own avatar is from this movie. First feature movie from James Cameron in 12 years. Can't wait.

Planet Earth is now only $40.49 at Amazon US.

Band of Brothers is now only £21.72 (VAT deducted) at Amazon UK.

This is the lowest price I've ever seen for both titles at Amazon.

oh which stephen chow movie is that?
anyway thanks for some of the feedback, i've done some mini facelift revamping on my website. Some rearragements here and there but mostly all the titles now is listed together alphabetically

can take a look  notworthy.gif

the english name of the movie is 'Out of the Dark'
and the chinese name is 回魂夜
this is the only stephen chow's movie that had not been shown in local cinemas
heard it was banned because of the ghostly elements

I think it's mostly because the local distributor wants to fit it into the school holiday session for kids
this is not the first time they do that

There was a school holiday starting 30th of May, my wife a school teacher. biggrin.gif

If they open 28th of May it will be just nice for school holiday, so that theory is not applicable at all. smile.gif

Actually, I believe UP has not even released in UK for big screens yet.

I watched a couple of movies lately, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. BD is a big step up from DVD, nice details, good colours. Its not like a modern transfer, yet pretty solid. I watched the movie a long time ago and watching it again brings back memories as well.

Another very good AQ is Sunshine that you guys have been talking abt. Really good workout for LFE.....really. I can only imagine how it would be for the SVS'ers.
