*7370*? Only phone memory. If I'm not mistaken, the 3 free games came preinstalled in the phone memory, so those would be missing as well. My 3 games disappeared after I did a soft reset when I got it.

can anyone confirm that *7370* will not erase any data in the phone?

i don't think the pre install games will go disappear
soft reset is a must, if not you won't be able to install any software.

There are 2 games which is installed on the firmware. The racing and the bounce. But the newer 5800XM comes preinstalled with 3 more games, the guitar and 2 more other. Those 3 went missing for my case after resetting, games goes to another 2 units owned by my brother and gf both also same case after soft reset.

problem solved    after trying to remember when this start to happen, i remembered that i installed some new software in my tube.
after figured it out, I uninstalled it and WoW! - my nokia music library works fine.
the problem is within this software = Concise_Oxford_Thesaurus_dictionary_for_S60[I], dont know how it interfeared with my music library
Conclusion:
- dont use illegal software, in this case the cracked one.
- if ur tube just suddently goes wrong(software), try to undo what u've done.

Hey guys, anyone of you ever encountered problem when backing up your HP?

I just backed up my stuffs with Nokia PC Suite and all my songs and videos and pics are gone wtfish?

and the extension is the same as page 1..

in order to update firmware, u need to install nokia software updater.. u can download it from the internet..

or if u can download it from wifi..just backup ur data..
btw, i have update my firmware..and nothing has gone.

Where do you put your songs, videos, and pics? Memory card right? Have you back up your memory card?
What firmware do you have? What font that you trying to install then?

i have read the external link "a beginner's guide" as well, but it does not mention anything about doing a soft reset, it just says that we should check the package, charge till full, and update firmware
so i am not sure what are the correct steps to configure my phone properly, should i backup first, update firmware, then only do soft reset? or backup first, do soft reset, then update firmware?

not too sure if this has been discuss before. but looking at any software can do video conferencing between e71 and 5800?

Did you manage to recover the pictures you have taken? I'm not sure about yours, but the case I've encountered is that the memory card looks exactly like it has been formatted. All standard folders that appears after formatting is there, but with another single huge file p.dat in the root that is exactly the same size as how much the memory card used before this. Before it happened the card was filled to about 2.8GB, and the p.dat file was 2.8GB in size.

OIC, do the soft reset when you found the problem in your tube that can't be fixed by formating your memory card. My only suggestion before you fill up your memory card with stuffs, format it with Windows format FAT32. This to ensure no more headache when your memory card stuffed and then the problem arise. FYI, I just format my memory card just once after my SMS gone. Then it works fine until today.
