i have to put a disclaimer here though.
it wasn't my intention of using a credit card. the apple store policy is that all outright puchases have to be paid via credit card. hence, with if an item is paid via this method, the name is automatically printed on the proof of purchase/receipt |

@dotjolt,
The USA sets are locked sets! @nokia2003, There's no need to explain the situation to us; U oredi did it at point of purchase and we oredi know we won't be able to save the 10% GST. @miniacs, It'll be nice to be able to use it but since it's a Marathon, what happens if U drop it?! Also, it's going to take time for U to set it up; but if Ur oredi an iPhone user it shouldn't be a problemo! @harmeet15, So cepats?! U travelling up to KL from JB tomolo? |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 27 2009, 07:49 PM) by rite, at the time of writing, the package is halfway thru klia and my place...just tat when it arrives, it wud be kinda late here to collect it...so 2molo only can collect it.. it was my luck tat the person bringing it is from my hometown.. so i dun hv 2 make da trip.. when ur eta? the news u were referring to QUOTE About 5 hours ago (Thursday evening, less than a week after the 3GS launch), we were able to verify that the 24Kpwn exploit that the hybrid team used on the iPod Touch 2G is still applicable to the bootrom of the iPhone 3GS. That means we can use the same sort of technique used by our current redsn0w tool to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone 3GS. This is great news, but how did it happen? Why didn’t Apple fix this in their normal cat&mouse fashion? Well it seems this bootrom was cut in about the August 2008 timeframe, so the unintended early reveal of 24Kpwn earlier this year didn’t affect the iPhone 3GS. For our technical notes on where the 24Kpwn exploit is in the 3GS, see here (pastebin hash of it is here). Our original blog post for when this exploit was first found is here. And yes, ultrasn0w will be able to be used on the iPhone 3GS for you unlockers! (In fact, without any modifications whatsoever!) Important: Apple has not given up on the cat&mouse game, and in fact there are challenging aspects of the 3GS jailbreak that aren’t in the other devices. It’ll take some time to safely work these into our tools, but the fundamental weaknesses are there: The bootrom is exploitable via 24Kpwn, and the baseband is exploitable via ultrasn0w. (And just like with the 3G, ultrasn0w for 3GS requires that you not update your baseband when Apple comes out with new firmware.) This post has been edited by harmeet15: Jun 27 2009, 10:48 PM |

@harmeet15,
That's great.. My ETA is tomorrow night but I'm trying to figure out how to make collection arrangements without actually PHYSICALLY getting into contact with my transporter. I've a newborn (barely 3 weeks) in my home and mom does NOT want any risks (due to AH1N1) - I told her I was gonna go over to my aunt's place and she said go pack enough clothes for 7 days and come back after 7 days! I'm suppose to meet stringfellow on Mon though This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jun 27 2009, 11:05 PM |
