If U can live with the extra weight (that's the main disadvantage but that's what U have to live with for the extra boost in battery!) the Mophie Juice Pack Air is pretty good.

For better reviews, go look up stringfellow (except I ain't sure when he's back from Paris). He's supposed to put up reviews but he hasn't had time I guess.

PS: I've seen the thing and it looks pretty good - with the Mophie Juice Pack Air, U don't need a casing

U'll haf to make the decision as to whether or not U want to wait. If the price is truly great then by all means go ahead and get it but if you have to pay RM3.5k for the 32GB model U might as well just wait - even if it's going to cost U the same with Maxis, U have local warranty

Whilst I agree with U the 3GS is indeed speedier but in your comparison test, unless both the test units have the same applications installed, the test results won't be too accurate

Ah well.. you're comparing 286 with Pentium 4 I haven't noticed start up time on my i3GS but it doesn't seem to be all that fast; of course loading of applications are much much much better

I dun switch off and on all the time so tak tau but it's definitely faster than the i3G lah I'm sure Anyhow, no complains on my end

Rest assured, U won't be disappointed! I also just tested using the i3GS as wifi "hub" though BT and it works albeit connection is a bit slow

Some forummers were wondering if we could use the i3GS as a "hub/router" [or whatever the term is] for multiple laptops / computers to log in. In theory I thought it would be possible but never really quite tested it out until just.

All U need is to ensure BT is available on the laptops U wish to connect. Pair it with your i3GS and voila it works. If it works with 2 laptops paired at the same time, I guess it'll work with 3/4/5 but like I said the connection speed is slow!

Yes U still need to enable Internet Tethering and btw the i3G should be able to do it too !

Er.. I don't think that can be done lah because at the moment, can only tether through USB/BT. In any case, it's too technical for me - if U want, I'll meet U at Starbucks with BOTH the computers and U go test it till the cows come home

I think there's an application in Cydia that allows u to do something like that; just that my i3GS is not JB.

davidgary73 & I just did a short test and from what we see, we should be able to turn the MBP into a wifi router except I wasn't quite able to test it proper because I had some default settings we didn't think we should change.

Also, I need to figure out what the SSID is But from the conversation I had with davidgary73, it should work ... on a NON JB phone

We both think the best person to check this out might be stringfellow since he's got so many Apple products

I think if I did the sharing through Ethernet cable and if that works then it should work but nah, i've a meeting at 230PM so heheh don't wanna go about changing my configs

Er.. we too haf lines, of berpuluh puluh orang *shrugs* Wasn't at the last i3G launch hence not too sure. We M'sians aren't just as kiasu - the kiasu ones oredi got their units
