Zelda 1. You know that there is two quests in this game. By type zelda as your name, you can start the 2nd quest. 2nd quest is harder but if you try hard enough you can get through.

Zelda 2. Do you mean Dark Link is tough to beat?

You know that there are pc emulators for NES, SNES, N64 and GBA. You can play all the LoZ games until Gameboy Advance.

For Zelda 1, the hard part is finding the dungeons. I still remeber there's a part where u supposed to burn bushes to reveal the dungeon. All the bushes look the same to me. Without FAQ, i really dunno how to find it.

In default difficulty, the Phoenix and Dark Link is kinda hard to beat. At least at the first time u met them. The dungeons are hard to beat as well.

And, I played all the Zelda Series on emulators. GEHEHEHE....

LOZ. Yup. You have to burn bushes, bomb walls on cave and use the whistle. Find the heart containers and check out which shop sells cheap price on certain item. As you have more hearts, you able to acquire the white sword and then the magic sword. On certains dungeons, you to find the secret items which will help to go to the next room. I like the idea of completing the 8 dungeons first before you are able to go to the Final dungeon. You need to draw a map for the level because you are going into underground tunnels.
On the second quest, I have to use the whistle on almost every screen to find the dungeon.

You need time to build up your experiences points so that you can choose to use for your attack, life or magic. As you walk around Hyrule, when you meet the enemies. It change and you are now in a sidescroll mode. (Did Final Fantasy stole this idea?)
Phoenix. Used thunder spell (to break the armour) and then used jump spell. I am not sure you enough magic left to used shield spell as well.
Dark Link. I used the trick to just sit on the far side of the screen and squat then
just jab as shadow link as he rushes to you.

I have to wait for three years before I got a new laptop that is fast enough and comes with a good 3d graphic cards to be able to play N64 games.

FF is rpg and you have to point and click during the fighting scene.
LOZ is adventure where you can control the hero in a fighting scene.

As you are aware that the latest FF series is having more and more cg cut-scene.
As for LOZ is still at normal rate like the Wind Waker.

If you asked me to choose I think both are good and depend what you fancy to play at that time.

Legend of zelda. It is the first game that have a battery backup. It comes in a gold colour case. I bought this game as a second hand in sg wang 1st floor from the a shop called Pineapple Computers. At that time, you can go there to play NES and Sega Genesis games and pay an hourly rate.

Currently that game name is The Legend of Zelda : GCN, might be coming out in
the first quarter of 2005.

I hope Nintendo won't be disappointing us. thumbup.gif

huh? since when nintendo disappoints us with zelda series?

well, that miyamoto(rola!) is really damm creative...i especially like the FANTASTIC dungeons...soooo creative puzzles...it even beats the half-life 2 and even tetris i think....

and who can forgot in OoT when the ending was THA BEST!!! MOST UNPREDICTABLE!!! most EPIC! (not like the alexander movie, so ghey no epic) and forgot the cool face animations in HL2, becoz in zelda: ww the emotions shown makes the HL2 characters wanna cry...wait they dont cry do they? tongue.gif

Shigeyu Miyamoto has passed the Zelda torch to Eiji Aonuma.

Eiji is the new head of Zelda since The Wind Waker but Shigeyu Miyamato is still in the position of giving feedback on the direction of the Zelda games.

I played the first 2 Zelda on Famicom(NES) before, but only managed to finish the first one. Then during SFC age, "A link to the Past" had kept me and my bro playing it again and again. But too bad, we couldn't collect all the heart containers... This game is HARD! doh.gif

Yeah, like other user, I missed out both "Ocarina of Time" and "WindWaker", the two graphic-improved Zelda games... No money for N64 and GC...

In my view, "A link to the Past" is the best. Fun to play, to explore, to collect items. Oh yah, this series is famous with its music theme and also that "Golden sword". Hah, the best ARPG series I had ever play! Great! thumbup.gif

Zelda 1 - Still play this games now and then. biggrin.gif

Zelda 2 - Adventures of Link is pretty tough. You need to spend time building up your Attack, Life and Magic to the max before facing the bosses of the palace. Let me know if you need any help and I will try my best. blush.gif

Zelda 3 - I think I managed to get up to 22 or 23 heart containers. Did you manage to get four bottles, converted your boomerang to a magic boomerang? drool.gif

Did not finished Ocarina of time and The Wind Waker yet.
Since i bought the Gamecube with the wind waker package that comes with Ocarina of time and Ocarina of time master quest, got to find time to play them. wink.gif

Very true, Navlink. Further more,
Zelda1 - freedom to wander around and retrieve the fragments of the
Triforce from the eight dungeons.
Zelda2 - When fighting enemies and going into caves or palaces, you are switch to
side scroll mode.

News on The Minish Cap
The US version of The Minish Cap, which is already out in Europe and Japan, will get a severe update on the text part. This will probably help clear up some of the inconsistencies in the game.

The reason behind this, and the fact that Europe got it before the US, was because Europe needed a big title on the handheld market. This is most likely because the DS is not released before Christmas, so they need something to boost the handheld market over here.

Too bad this series only appears on Nintendo platform only. If is is cross-platform, I bet the sales could go sky high!! doh.gif
