I played the first 2 Zelda on Famicom(NES) before, but only managed to finish the first one. Then during SFC age, "A link to the Past" had kept me and my bro playing it again and again. But too bad, we couldn't collect all the heart containers... This game is HARD! Yeah, like other user, I missed out both "Ocarina of Time" and "WindWaker", the two graphic-improved Zelda games... No money for N64 and GC... In my view, "A link to the Past" is the best. Fun to play, to explore, to collect items. Oh yah, this series is famous with its music theme and also that "Golden sword". Hah, the best ARPG series I had ever play! Great!

Too bad this series only appears on Nintendo platform only. If is is cross-platform, I bet the sales could go sky high!!

QUOTE(earthcrystal @ Dec 16 2004, 02:56 AM) For N64 console, it seems that only Nintendo exclusive games are selling. This cause other companies to stay away from this console. Damn right about it! GC wouldn't be there if there's no exclusive titles such as Zelda, StarFox, Mario and so on.

Back to Zelda... So the next Zelda game will be launched next year? Or 2006? I only saw the preview clip of it. This time they used the more mature-style 3D modelling, but Link still looks cool with that sword. Anyway, Zelda is famous with its ARPG style with many interesting gameplay. Who cares for the graphic?

Now that's the omen for delaying, isn't it?

QUOTE(earthcrystal @ Dec 18 2004, 10:54 PM) Eiji Anouma on story and gameplay of the new LOZ: We are focusing more on giving the game a very realistic tone, as you could see in the video we showed [at E3], and it's heavily influenced by Ocarina of Time. As development goes on, we will be adding new details that have worked in other titles, so we can come up with a very complete game. LOL! The "Official Statement" again??

So this is the first mature-styled Zelda game, eh? Hmm... It's quite amazing since the last Zelda game was rendered in cel-shaded style and Link was a cute kid...
