Admittedly I didn't get an SMS from MBB re my CC but since I was there today I thought I'll pick it up and expected it to be ready but it wasn't.  I seriously hope Pos Malaysia doesn't pull a fast one on me this time and make me go pick it up from them or I'll just cancel the damn Amex Gold CC - just too much trouble!

No SMS received as yet - and like I said, I really don't care.  I haven't logged onto M2U but if I do I'm sure the Amex Gold CC is oredi reflected in there.

I got my sms at 6pm...after collecting my cards at 4.30pm

I guess the damn salesperson who put my application in wasn't doing a good enough job - didn't get my card, got 2 different accounts on the same card.. Ah well.... like I said, Maybank Malaysia Boleh!

All CIMB card have paypass, you can use at KFC restaurant.
One more thing is not many cashier know how to use the tap reader, if fail to read your card, then they will directly swap your card from the terminal which mean you have to sign
According to one former member, it is not tap reader or the cc problem, the cashier don't know how to operate the tap reader

Now Tesco and Tesco Extra are equipped with Paypass terminal.

Any GSC EON BANK cc user here?
Just received mine yesterday and I couldn't get it to link to my GSC account.
I got an error msg saying 'Wrong IC Number. Please re-enter'. Called up EON Bank cs; according to them the problem is not from their end since my IC is correct in their system. The cs asked me to contact GSC instead. So I mailed GSC around 5PM and to my surprise their (GSC) cs called me about 45 mins later. Problem is still unresolved though as it was beyond their working hours and their techies weren't around. The cs promised to look into it tomorrow.

Actually its pretty simple. As a rule of thumb, take your total gross annual income, divided by 3 and if that amount is less than 10% of your total Credit Exposure ie. not O/S only, then chances are you are screwed

I think you are over-reacting. It is stated very clearly new-to-bank-customers in the first place. Same goes to the GSC-EON Bank Card. The cash rebate only applies to new customers. I have the card but i don't get the rebate as well. It certainly feels uncomfortable for not having it while others who applied the same card enjoys the rebate. But I don't wank around complaining about it ridiculously. Anyways, I plan to cancel the card once the first year fee waiver is over. Anyways, i dont like eon bank service too

Finally, Today I received the MBB card I applied during TreatsFair (25 Jul) approx 1+ weeks.. not bad.

I wonder will Maybank send the gifts separately ?

i have never trust maybank since some issue with them earlier. but too bad they are the only local bank with a friendlyuser internet banking and widely accepted many atm branch...but u know lar...typical MALAYsia shit

yes maybank screw it up, i requested the amex cc to be sent to my office but they sent it to my house by poslaju. Pos msia is another pain in the @rse because nobody was at home & they just dropped a message into mailbox requested me to collect the card at their centre in Taman Shamelin Perkasa.

Credit card is very convinience to use and it help us a lot to do not bring many cash.
however, many of people get trap!

I am using credit card to purchase and pump petrol, but I don't like to owe money to bank or credit card, and for proper financial management, I pay the amount I use from credit card within 1 weeks it appear in my outstanding balance.
So, what I am advise to have an online banking with your credit card company, so you can easily check your balance and payment due date to avoid unnecessary high interest rate and finally get trap to be work for credit card company.

Credit card is for our convinience, my advise is to not have more than 2 credit cards and what I mostly prefer is debit card as what you spend is direct from your own account, so you only spend what you have.

As reminder, please do have save first and spend later habit for proper financial management and learn to invest.

It is depend on the credit card company policy. It is not about cheating or not, before apply anythings, please read carefully the term and condition and ask until understand. Some not responsible agent will not tell you everything, what they want is you sign up and they earn commission. So be careful.
If not happy with this company, you can cancel it and apply for the one you comfort to.

i have a question, i want to apply a MBB CC Classic card.
but the thing is they have annual fee which i think it's ridiculous.
i want MBB because i can see that most of the shops to accept MBB cards.

Sony Visa actually is a co-brand card, which means it is the VISA card, but it offers much privilege when u use it to buy the sony items. You will get extra warranties, 10x treat points depends on their promotion. You also can find that there is generic VISA credit card offered by maybank at their website, which is not stick with any company

AMEX is a generic card, it never stick with any company naturally, the good thing is, most of the AMEX credit card offer you to get 2x point (spend RM1 get 2 point) but u have to check the maybank credit card website for more detail, it will stated every privilege and benefit for each of their card.

You no need to force yourself to "Buy" Sony product because you have Sony Card, if u purchase other non-Sony product you still can get the Treat Point, so no worries.

If you really want to waive your annual fee for life, just make sure this card doesn't have some "hidden" requirement when giving you Free for Life term. CIMB DA, CIMB Petronas, Maybank Petronas, Maybank Sony, AMEX Gold CC they are all offer Free for Life without any condition. Most of the citibank credit card require you call and ask for annual fee waiver, so consider before apply, you have to call them every year or else they will charge the annual fee on you.

For your income u can apply for most of the Gold Credit Card already.

What installament plan? It's always depending on the merchant whether it offers such facility. Usually based on partnership relationship and the merchant offers it, it'll be approved on the transaction itself. The merchant has a terminal with MBB and there's an option to convert the purchase into installament plan.

ABMB CS is not exactly in my fav list.

To your question on overseas transactions, so long the merchant is not located in Malaysia it will be considered an overseas transaction. Example : If you buy a Malaysian Airlines one way ticket Bangkok->KL don't be surprised that the transaction is actually charged in Thailand and considered as an overseas transaction. (obviously coz it's paid in THB)

if i choose balance transfer for my current outstanding balance on my cc to another bank,  will it affect my relation with the current bank? and will it also affect my future cc application?

No, your relationship (or anything else) with your current bank will not be affected by doing Balance Transfer. Unless you have been a bad paymaster then it already bad even without the BT.

Where do you heard this myth ? I'm rather curious about the origin of the questions sometimes.

Will suggest using Citibank, last time i use this card to rent a car at UK, try some Malaysia bank credit card but doesn't work.
If not sure whether why it is like that, you can ask the company by e-mailing them or call them. But I can sure that, even we go to their counter (last time i do like that in UK), they will request our driving license, and then have to fill in a form, like declare if anything happen (accident, scratch on the car, get summoned by local police), the car rental company have the rights to deduct the extra amount to repay these, yes the CVV and card expire date need to fill in, i use Hertz

How long you waited for AMEX? Is there any letter that send to you for sucessful thing?
