Is there agreement need to be signed if credit card is applied though this method? It would not stop me from closing my TD after 1 month.
Yes, the cc will be closed once the FD/TD is upliftedCredit Card Thread V7, Everything about the world of plastic

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Aug 25 2009, 07:15 AM) How do you work out that 2.5% calculation? Do they actually give you cash back? Or in lieu of some over-priced goods? based on 200 MR points = RM1 for pay with points hereRM40 (5x points = 200) can get RM1 back, so it's 2.5% of course you can redeem for RM50 vouchers which require less than 10k MR points i don't see why anyone wants to redeem RM50 vouchers which require more than 10k though This post has been edited by alexwsk: Aug 25 2009, 09:05 AM |

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Aug 25 2009, 11:39 AM) Regarding Telekom, does it include normal house telephone and Streamyx? If yes, does TM got any auto-debit facility charging to AMEX? there's no AF for AMEX Gold CC, it's free for life with no conditions attachedAs for annual fee, it is only free for 3 yrs and then it is RM238 so that will take some wind out of this card. And I hate having to ask for exemption because it felt like begging. AFAIK, Alliance has no expire date. But as mentioned, the rebate are tiered and only up to RM5000 (1.36% all in). the one with AF is AMEX Gold charge card This post has been edited by alexwsk: Aug 25 2009, 12:08 PM |

QUOTE(dantwt @ Aug 25 2009, 12:12 PM) hi guys. Basically you can get free gift would like to ask if there is any difference in signing up for a CC during a roadshows in shopping malls, rather than a visit to the banks? Still abit doubtful if i sud sign for CCs. Regards If you use it as if you are using the cash which u hv in the bank, then go for it Added on August 25, 2009, 12:54 pm QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Aug 25 2009, 12:21 PM) Added on August 25, 2009, 12:22 pm Thanks for correcting my oversight. I was looking at the charge card instead. I don't have any MB card because I did hear a few horror stories before, basically billing mistakes. So how are their service nowadays? except longer waiting period to call CS (but it depends on what time u call, I hv no prob calling early in the morning) Added on August 25, 2009, 12:58 pm QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Aug 25 2009, 12:40 PM) So how do you pay AMEX (not MBB AMEX)? Sending checks through the post isn't exactly a attractive option. U can pay it using M2U, just like the normal MBB ccAs for overseas transaction. How does AMEX's exchange rate compares with MC/VISA? And how's the administration charges? as for the overseas charges, it's definitely higher than master and visa, 2.5% or above if not mistaken This post has been edited by alexwsk: Aug 25 2009, 12:58 PM |

QUOTE(keeseng12 @ Sep 2 2009, 04:01 PM) asking a noob question here. it's just an additional layer of security for websites that support itWhat is "Verified by Visa"? I heard it's for online shopping security purpose. Went through first post, but couldn't find any info on this. And doesn't understand well how it works from google search. you are required to enter a PIN number (the same PIN when you sign up for Verified by Visa) before you are allow to complete the payment |

QUOTE(keeseng12 @ Sep 3 2009, 10:34 AM) if that's the case, meaning i'll just need to key in an additional PIN when purchase anything online? hehe, the extra security is that you'll need to key in the additional PIN lor (people feels safer when required to do more verifications ma Hmm, i don't see the extra security purpose here. Please correct me if i'm wrong. although not all websites support that |

@tinkerbel
have you registered you mobile phone with SCB? u'll need to walk in to any branch to have them key in into the system if not mistaken (the number you've filled in during CC application will not be automatically entered into the system) after that you shud be able to register thru the website with ease |
