Will we get the surat tarwaran by mail or we have to print out from their website?
How much do we have to pay the fees?

i thought already stated there in the website, what will be sent by mail and what will not be sent by mail?

Meaning we have to print out everything in the website provided? i thought they will send surat tawaran by mail to the person who is succeed just like other universities

the fees will b charge on ptptn or ur scolarships.

you only need to pay for Minggu Alam Siswa fee about rm200.

im already study at UM.

if you go to UM's website.
it's written there that 1 form wont be sent to u.
i forgot which form is that.
it's marked with an asterisk.

btw, if you live in east msia, better print the forms out.
this is the advice on the UM page. because ur mail will reach late.
by the time the mail reaches you, u kelam kabut n panic go medical checkup etc..

it depend on which college u got.. some got 1ppl/room and other got 4ppl/room.

um fees u can check at umisisweb, u need to hv an account to login.
be aware that u cant owe more than rm500, if so they will hold ur exam slip for that sem..

usually u will get the offer letter by next week.

Hi there! I got into UM Medicine too! ha ha. I'm posted to RC1 too. Can anyone enlighten us about number of persons per room and the conditions of the facilities?

RC 1 should be 3 ppl sharing per room.
it's the oldest RC in UM, but there has been some renovation.
u can only change RC after 1 year (correct me if I'm wrong), but it depends on whether there is vacancy at the other RC... or u may opt to move out anytime there are plenty of terrace house/apartment rooms for let around UM.
shuttle bus is provided... but I never board be4 so not sure about the schedule

can we want to paid the fees using cash? or must use ptptn ?

Got any tips surviving in UM ?

I pay my fee with cash at bank islam branch near my home.

survive in UM? there's nothing to worry about, just settle down urself and there'll be many seniors to guide u

my college principal (is he equivalent to a felo ? like a warden of the hostel or something) is an indian studies lecturer.. so maybe i can learn some tamil

I have received the offer letter around 1pm today.
For the fee, isn't it I heard the government will send a RM1500 cheque together with the offer letter to lower our financial burden?
However, I didn't receive the cheque.

I got UM Pharmacy.
I think it's because I stay in KL, so I received my offer letter early.
The offer letter was sent yesterday, so for those who has not received the offer letter, you may received it on next monday or tuesday.

6 is Ibnu Sina, or more commonly known as clinical students hostel.....in the past, only the 4 and 5 years stay there........but they have expanded, and they take in all years now.......

1 and 2 are just short walks up the road to the faculty, don't be lazy........no there will definitely be NO shuttle bus........

don't complain, i walked from 4 to the fac for a whole term before..........

i don't know what you saw, but there is definitely no shuttle bus between 1 and 2 colleges and the medical faculty.........

i got UM medic too. though i do not qualify as a banana, cuz i'm chinese-educated, i'm very comfortable with using English(from my brief 5 month stint in Singapore JC early last year). i could teach u some mandarin & chinese dialects ha ha. where're u from?

i did not find anything stating that we've to send any documents or whatnot in the online documents yet, but then i haven't received the official snail mailed letter. I'm from Perak so i figured that it would take some time to reach. ha ha

yep. i also noticed the lafaz aku janji thing. i believe it should be 30 June not 20 June, as written in the schedule for orientation.

Hello guys! I'm taking BBA at UM next weekend too. Can't wait I was offered kolej kediaman ketujuh...I prefer 9 actually(nearer to my FAC) Eh guys, I heard first year students are obliged to stay at the hostel and driving our own car is not allowed. Is it true? I'm staying in KL so I tot of rejecting the kolej kediaman. But that means I need to use public transport to get to class la? Some of my friends there said I can screw all those rules but park at a proper spot la. If not kena clamp liao

we have to hand it in on the first day of orientation right?

1st, 2nd, 6th coll r very near.. u wont need a shuttle bus !!!

1st = 3 ppr
2nd = 3 ppr
3rd = 3 ppr

12th = 2ppr

u r required to show ur x-ray n medic report on d pendaftaran day.... handing in of the reports will be done on the next day i guess...

Well actually you can try private clinics too. Cost around Rm 50 plus.

I wanna know...what other slips & sijils2 that need to be certified apart from your IC, birth cert, stpm, spm and muet slip in UM?

Coz i came to school today holding these copies only...and i saw my other friends bringing with them up to 30 pcs of certs/slips that needs to be certified...and im like wtf!
Eg: My friend had to photostat 10 copies of her mom and dad's pay slip and cukai pendapatan and even the senior teacher was like "apa benda semua ni! Banyaknyer!" (she's from UTM btw). Then she had to go to the post office to buy some RM10 stamps...and i asked her...is it for loan? And she said....'nooo~' (Wth???)

so in the end i photostatted watever certs/slips that my friends happen to have also...


And UM's senarai semak had so little compared to my other friends~ Unless my 4 eyes are missing sumthin?

Thank god saturday is a school day too! Or im screwed.

And yeah! I don't know how and when to pay my course fees...it's been nagging me...especially when i read this:

for now you need to pay your orientation fees, which you can pay in advance in any Bank Islam branch to UM. or during registration which i believe to be on monday morning (29th) also you can make your payment. i believe payment methods are mention in the buku panduan.


you just need what they ask you, those extra cert wont do any help, unless you're like applying for private or going interview. they have all your records already (ko-k, spm, stpm). Different uni requires diff documents, like my friend going UTeM requires blood test also, like scared student got HIV.


i wonder what kind of compliment have you heard. truth to be said, every RC got their own strong points and weak. i think its mention somewhere in this thread or other UM related thread.

Man i just get my offer letter today so late ....... lol my RC in um are 11 ...... me get Economic ....... any senior here ??? oh ya have a question .... during the day we when in what we must bring ????
