Ok. Thanks for updating. I guess 4th college no meal policy just implemented recent years?
Consider to provide 3 means and charge the students RM3 per day is definitely a deficit and also wastage. Most students will skip for breakfast and lunch as there is very unlikely that they will return to hostel and have their meal there.
I would still say RM7 is reasonable in PETALING JAYA/KUALA LUMPUR/BANGSAR area. U cant compare it with others uni that located outside the "busy" city.
Yes, it was being implemented 2010/2011 session. I heard more colleges will do the same, which mean NO meals for ALL residents.Consider to provide 3 means and charge the students RM3 per day is definitely a deficit and also wastage. Previously when 3 meals were provided, it was charged as RM 10 per day, with RM 6.50 being the hostel fees, while RM 3.50 being the 3 meals, where the hell got such a cheap breakfast, lunch and dinner? It was being subsidized by gov, but now NO more due to budget deficit.
I see this to both sided, have pros and cons. The pros is the food provided by hostel sometimes may not be my cup of tea, so if abolish, i can have more choices. But on the other side,if no meals provided, i don't know what food i shall have everyday, hard to make decision too sometimes. Sound paradoxical right?
There is always an alternative no matter how, u may choose to eat out, or order vegie delivery which cost RM 3 per packets .LOL
