QUOTE(loongking @ Jun 20 2009, 04:52 PM) Wah, 8pcs total! Kasi picta picta Added on June 20, 2009, 5:19 pm QUOTE(kianweic @ Jun 20 2009, 01:25 PM) Early this morning, I managed to replace the GPU cooler for my old Zotac Geforce 8800GT. Thanks for the info Bro The old Zalman Fatality GPU Cooler (Now up for sale) The difference of the idle temperature between the Zalman cooler and Xigmatek cooler was around 6-8c (with both running at full speed). Xigmatek cooler @ full speed is a lot quieter than Zalman cooler @ full speed. Previously with Zalman cooler, it was around =56-60c Now with Xigmatek cooler = 50-52c Please not that this was tested in a room without air conditioning, will update results when the aircon is switch on later. I would not be able to test the load temperature as my old PC has no games in it at all. Pros: 1. Silent (even at fullspeed) 2. Fans can be replaced if needed be. 3. Quite easy to fit in 4. Wide compatibility 5. Good availability Cons: 1. Takes up more than 2 slots 2. Instructions not as clear as the Zalman counterpart I would recommend this to anyone who are quite annoyed with the heat and noise generated from their stock coolers. QUOTE(lingloong @ Jun 20 2009, 05:16 PM) Wah, 8pcs total! Kasi picta picta It is heavier by around 300g to 500g I think as I didn't weigh after....too excited to insert into the casing.Added on June 20, 2009, 5:19 pm Thanks for the info Bro Anyway, my dad's PC was as heavy as it could get. This is a good product and also a very affordable one for those who owns a Geforce 8800GT or GTX2xx (untested). I won't mind getting this for my next Geforce GTX285 (that is after I change the entire casing, the current one does not have enough clearing to support another Geforce GTX285 with Xigmatek BattleAxe. The Zalman Fatality GPU cooler sold. This post has been edited by kianweic: Jun 23 2009, 08:41 AM |

I've 10 units of XLF-1253 and they look very nice
just the air flow a bit weak but no matter how, i can sacrifice some air just to get a stylist look inside my casing |

i help my fren build a rig. using Thor's Hammer pair with E8400, i clocked it at 9x450=4050mhz 1.26vcore. when i use linx to test the system stability. cpu temperature went up to 87c (non-aircon room). i double checked the cooler , installed correctly. but when stress with linx , i touch the heat pipe of thor hammer, didnt feel hot at all,but when stop stressing ,after 30 second went back to 40c, is this consider normal?

the default low temps of my 9150e and the achilles that i got from lingloong seem to keep my temps around 28-29 on idle
one thing to note though, for anyone planning to get a Cooler Master casing with side window. the acrylic i just a little too thick to close the panel properly, and the fittings are a bit brittle, so need to be careful when taking it out |

@piumiu
While running at 3.7ghz, my processor (intel Q9550) is idle at 43c and load at 70c. quite ok for a casing without a good airflow haha @nncl Bro, i think theres something wrong cos last time my e8400 (at 4ghz) only reach 35c at idle and 63c during load while using cm hyper 212. Better check ur cooler back, u might not setted the cooler properly @Gray Fox [X] Usually i just attach the cooler and the fan first onto the motherboard. after that i just screw the mobo with the cooler attach on it inside the casing. to much work if i attach the cooler /fan later Anyway, theres nothing wrong with the way u place ur cooler. the reason i place mine like that because my top fan can draw out the hot air better then my 8cm exhaust fan + i can cool down my graphic to This post has been edited by Volt: Jun 23 2009, 07:35 AM |
