No. some features for 32gb & 64gb 3rd gen and all 4th gen. I'm sure some apps uses the camera to completely utilise the app.

That was in reference to the 3G iPod touch... WWDC was back in June 2010 which the iPod touch 4 was not announced yet...

Dont flame me, im very interested in getting one if its like the iphone 4 only without the phone

Correct me if im wrong, the iphone 4 has Retina display too but it has IPS display?

Help much appreciated as i'm really excited in getting a affordable awesome device .. ( instead of playing with my friends Iphone 3g which lags while tap tap-ing )

I don't get it... What's with these ppl's obsession for IPS technology...? IPS just brings about more accurate color on a wider angle display. And those ppl who really needs color accuracy is for photographers to printing publishers. Do ppl really do editing on the iPod touch's miserably small screen...? As for wide angle, why bother if I'm the only one staring at the screen...? Most of the time, ppl would detest having second or a third pair of public eyes sneaking onto their screen. Don't tell me there are people who would actually stare at the touch display at an angle...?

IPS on Apple portable iDevices (with the exception of the iPad) is a marketing hype as far as I'm concern...

IPS could be useful say when 2 people are watching a movie together. or maybe trying to look at stuff (cooking recipes?) from afar and at an angle.

Both instances would strain my eyes... I would prefer to do that with an iPad instead...

If you listen to him properly, he did not mention anything about IPS display.

doesnt say IPS at all in the video.. just cos the title says it. 24 bit color is vague MIGHT be IPS but then not really. 24 bit truecolor is IPS.

Added on September 5, 2010, 1:22 amnot everyone has an ipad...not that its sold here yet. IPS might not be important for people with ipads. i dont see a reason to NOT expect a quality display, apple use IPS in all their products.

only reason i can think of they excluded it cos LG was crying they couldnt make them fast enough.

And you're wrong... Apple did not use IPS on all of their products... MacBooks and MacBook Pros does not have IPS yet...
