Dont flame me, im very interested in getting one if its like the iphone 4 only without the phone Correct me if im wrong, the iphone 4 has Retina display too but it has IPS display? Help much appreciated as i'm really excited in getting a affordable awesome device .. ( instead of playing with my friends Iphone 3g which lags while tap tap-ing ) edit : i got confused when ppl in the apple fall thread 2010 said that the ipod 4g has no IPS .. so.. just confirming... QUOTE(Eithanius @ Sep 5 2010, 01:00 AM) I don't get it... What's with these ppl's obsession for IPS technology...? IPS just brings about more accurate color on a wider angle display. And those ppl who really needs color accuracy is for photographers to printing publishers. Do ppl really do editing on the iPod touch's miserably small screen...? As for wide angle, why bother if I'm the only one staring at the screen...? Most of the time, ppl would detest having second or a third pair of public eyes sneaking onto their screen. Don't tell me there are people who would actually stare at the touch display at an angle...? IPS on Apple portable iDevices (with the exception of the iPad) is a marketing hype as far as I'm concern... Well. First of all . i mean no offense to u or any other party. I'm not obsessed with IPS technology, i just want whats better. I did not state that if there's no IPS. i wont buy it. It's just another addition to its awesome-ness We'll. for instance, i want a sharper screen for browsing the net without currently zooming away to see words. ( LYN ) . Correct me if im wrong , IPS display also allows a better view in sunlight , no? I dont know about others . but imagine IPS display in a small thing like that at an affordable price ..

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Sep 5 2010, 04:13 PM) Please lar... your glass on the touch will reflect the shit out of your display... Maybe you have not been clear about the advantages of IPS technology. It has nothing to do with enhancing screen display under sunlight... Please read more on IPS tech.... I did say correct me if im wrong IPS provides a more sharper image with a wider viewing angle and works awesome under sunlight. Sometimes i wonder why u think so straight.. not like anyone's gonna stand under the sun directly to play their touch.. What i mean under sunlight is a bright location , eg : coffee shop . Again, i mean no offense.
