go for 5800. smile.gif
newly launch phone the price is surely quite high and 5800 has a very big user base over here so if you are facing any problem, just post it out and I'm sure there are people who are willing to help.

note that 5530 does not have GPS and 3G, and it has smaller screen with smaller bundled memory card size

Just wait for 6 months. See how the price of 5800 drop from 1300 from early this year to the current price? A 30% drop. So by next March this phone will be selling for 700+.

5530 has better design than 5800 but slightly smaller screen. It also lack of GPS and 3G. But for me, both function is not a must and from my experience with 5800, I seldom use it and can live with out it.

If only the price is cheaper.

the price is almost the same, few 100 variant. Thats why it's hard to make decision. buy better function? or buy better design?

I'm also struggling between the nokia 5530 and nokia 5800.but somehow i feel that some of the issues that were present in the 5800 would've been resolved in the 5530.take the memory card issue for example.also the delay in alarm issue present in the new firmware.if the issues have been resolved in the new nokia 5800,then i'd definitely get the 5800,no questions asked.just concerned bout the bugs.

In my opinion, 5530 was priced near 5800 to boost the sales of 5800. They know potential customers are waiting to see the price of 5530 before decide which phone to buy. Once 5800 has hit their require set quota, then they will adjust the price of both 5530 and 5800 to boost their sales again.

the seller will recommend a phone that give them the highest profit margin tongue.gif
it's easy, if u do not need GPS and 3G, go for 5530
otherwise, get 5800, which comes with 8GB mmc and larger screen as well

just tried 5530, i think for sure you'll notice is the display is way better than 5800 and n97 in terms of sharpness and clearity by 150%. the display on 5530 looks like higher resolution than 5800 but it's the same spec on paper.
