That is good news! It seems like MFT is being well taken care of.

The firmware update can be done with the standalone software. No need ib.

QUOTE(Wuahaha @ Apr 21 2010, 02:03 PM) Panasonic has announced the price and availability of the DMC-G2 and DMC-G10. You reckon they'll be coming out with an improved GF1?DMC-G2 + 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 O.I.S • $799.95 • £629.99 DMC-G2 + 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 O.I.S + 45-200mm F4-5.6 O.I.S • £929.99 DMC-G2 (Body Only) • £549.99 DMC G10 + 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 O.I.S • $599.95 • £499.99 References: http://www.dpreview.com/news/1004/10041902...seriesprice.asp |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Apr 21 2010, 02:06 PM) G2 is a more featured camera than GF1 with its build in EVF and swirl-able touch screen LCD. G10 is just a smaller bro of G2. If you need comparison: http://www.dpreview.com/previews/panasonicdmcg2/page3.asp I think GF1 is more of an entry level for the G series cameras. Maybe Panny gonna come out a GF2 soon to compete with Olympus haha. I do hope so !! This post has been edited by Wuahaha: Apr 21 2010, 02:15 PM |

The MFT format has just grown bigger....I guess, a lot more users will join the club later, due to it's compactness, but with great picture quality If you need comparison: http://www.dpreview.com/previews/panasonicdmcg2/page3.asp I think GF1 is more of an entry level for the G series cameras. So users like us can have more lenses to choose from. |

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Apr 21 2010, 02:30 PM) Sony's concept out also, but not sure about their lenses format ... and rumor said Canon is coming out own format too. I haven't tried or touched a E-PL1 but it looks cuter compared to GF1's pro black look. Had thoughts of switching to E-PL1 but it lacks the ISO, shutter speed and back dial, and pass experience that Oly cam has AF and shutter lag. |
