Ceriss quoted me Rm1420 for the lens.

@daiboken

The built in flash is not good in my initial attempts. Maybe I need to test it with different sync time. I almost always never use flash so I don't test the different flash sync.

@zero_hour

Same reason I decided not to wait for G2 =P

EP2 is too expensive. EP1 was my 1st choice but I wanted to play with the diorama effect. And E-PL1 is not bad at all!

QUOTE(ajay67 @ Mar 23 2010, 10:05 AM)
faidz, since u own a D40, what do you think of EPL1 performance compared to it in terms of responsiveness
*
Missed out this one.

I would say that the D40 is easy to handle and operate. Not to mention it is very responsive. The E-PL1 nears the D40 in terms of responsiveness.

The E-PL1 has more options to play with so it is perfect for someone who doesn't want a bulky DSLR but wants the functionality. Also I'd say that the iAuto mode is very intelligent.

Overall, I'm very happy with the E-PL1 and I certainly consider that it is an upgrade from the D40.

A request from me,

Would really appreciate if any seasoned M4/3 users can put up the recommended combination of adapters and lenses. I am so new to this and I have no idea about mount adapters except for the Four Thirds lenses.

I heard about other mounts that we can use and the one using the CCTV lens really makes me interested.

What else is the use of the EVF?

I can only find one real good reason for it...that is to save battery.

Wow nice bag...that must be expensive!

Anyways, anyone in Melaka knows a good camera shop? Might be surveying for the price of 20mm pancake here.

Not sure with the mount types but see this:

http://cgi.ebay.com.my/Nikon-F-AI-lens-to-...=item3efd605b71

Does this mean we can use the Nikon lenses? e.g f/1.8 50mm?

Also,

Looks like some fun for the kit lens =P

@ vixxie

I think he used the pinhole art filter. If he did, the vignetting effect is already applied. Basically, what he showed us is possibly the unedited, out of camera picture.

Anyone here bought any accessory for E-PL1 from e-bay? I'm thinking of getting the leather case. Looks like Leica's case.

Anyways, just got myself a 20mm f1.7 Pana pancake. Paid RM1350 including filter.

I have the E-PL1 kit lens+20mm pana pancake.

Estimate, around RM3.6K for the setup. A lot of shops @ BBPlaza have the E-PL1 and 20mm pancake in stock.
