Hey Kheng Siong,

I insulated Doors, bonnet. But still wheel noise prevails. How to arrest that?
*
Tire? Then you'll have to do the fender soundproofing. Use suppression pads, Insulflex and Noise Plug will do. Sorry ah, now no more installer dy... I'm the only installer left, but a lazy one. tongue.gif

To tackle road noise, then need to do floor soundproofing.

Bro,
It was years back when I own a Saga aeroback. I'm not sure how much materials you need.

Do you have any idea what is your boot floor size? Or can you capture a photo of your boot and let me see?

I guess from there I can roughly quote you how much materials you'll need.

Anyway, details PM-ed to you.

Hi bro,
Hope my explanation will assist you to understand what are the available options for you:

RED = Flex Mat
PINK = Dampening Mat or Flex Mat
YELLOW = Dampening Mat

If you purely want to do the spare tire compartment, then 3 Flex Mat or (1 Flex Mat and 1 Dampening Mat)

If you wish to cover everything I have highlighted, then :
4 Flex Mat
1 Dampening Mat

add on Noise Absorption Mat for your papan. But NAM out of stock, so can only substitute with Insulflex.

P.S: You really need to clean the surface before apply the materials. The surface so dusty~~~ sweat.gif

Just let me know if you would like to know more.

Actually the weight increment is negligible. Control your right foot, and the FC should be ok...

Meet up no problem. Let me have your contact and we can arrange.

may i know how much is the weight of a box of suppression pad(10 pieces)?
*
The weight should be between 500g~700g. Can't really remember.

I have something thicker. Call Propad. Similar with suppression pads, but the adhesive part is Butyl. And it works much better than Suppression Pads, I mean in terms of dampening effect. It is around 5mm thick.

You can mix between suppression pads and Propads.

how do u sell the propad
*
The Propad will be RM65 a box of 10 pieces.

The material is 5mm overall, with the butyl ard 2mm thick. With this thickness, guess it is more than enough to dampen the vibration of the doors.

My supplier say 1 Propad is able to dampen what 2 suppression pads can. But maybe Psychology effect la... That's why some mixed with suppression pads.
....or worst, 10 Propads a door.

*
hmmm... most of the time, I would suggest do 4 doors straight. So you can have a balance effect.

As a starter, you can do 1 or 2 layers...

For Wira, you can only use 6mm Insulflex/SuperLon.

I would suggest you to mix Suppression Pads and Propad. But consider the size of Wira doors, you will need 5 boxes of the pads.

Take 3 x Propad and 2 x Suppression Pad, then buy 2 rolls of Insulflex 6mm with self-adhesive. You can buy those that do not come with self-adhesive, but be prepared to suffer from the smell for 1 week.

Do 2 layer and feel the difference. smile.gif

Sorry, I no longer provide installation.

If you plan to reduce engine sound, then you can do firewall sound dampening using 5~6 flex mats.

Fender soundproofing is to reduce the irritating tire noise.

You can try and search for others who do provide installation...

Propad is self-adhesive. It has the bitumen as its backing.

Which plastic part are you talking about? You mean door trim?

If you want to reduce vibration on door trim, then apply Flex Mat on the door trim then cover with Insulation Foam.

That would be my suggestion, or you can try any other way that you think is effective.

Ok, I understand your question.

You can use Propad if the surface is flat. You can cut the Propad to fit the surface application, but not too small.

Or you can use Flex Mat which can fit basically all type of surface.

You can cover more area to have a more solid effect.
