how much your labor charge?? if possible, i want my (inside car) very silent.. only can hear the engine and radio sound.. or much better if didn't hear anything outside..
*
Bro, after soundproof why you still want to hear the engine sound???

Ok, not to get your expectation too high i want my (inside car) very silent.. Sound is a very subjective thing.

or much better if didn't hear anything outside..
You have to hear something from outside when driving la, later Police sound their siren you also cannot hear...later end up in lock up pulak... biggrin.gif Hahahahha... this is soundproof la, not creating a vacuum.

Anyway, if you really and must insist on me doing it... The labor charge is RM500, for full cabin soundproofing. Materials price excluded. I will ask my installer to help me too.

But I will insist on DIY la... tongue.gif

Hahaha... I understand bro, but just to set your expectation right. But don't worry, after soundproof you will really feel the effects.

For full cabin, you will need:
Doors:
4 box suppression pads
~8 box Flex Mat
2 roll insulation foam

floors:
3 Dampening Mat
5 Flex Mat
3 Noise Absorption Mat

Pillars:
3 box InsuDamp

Roof:
2 box suppression pad
1 set KIA damping mat

~should be roughly around there la.

Hi Bro,
Sorry for late reply.
You can do this:

Tire Noise, soundproof fenders:
1 x Suppression Pads, 1 x Insuflex, 1 set Noise Plug

For road noise, you can:

1. 3 x Dampening Mat

2. Add on 3 Noise Absorption Mat

3. Add on 5 x Flex Mat or 1 x InsuDamp, to cover high up behind dashboard for engine noise.

I should be free from 4PM ~ 6PM for both days. Just let me know in advance will do. If possible, COD at Giant Bandar Puteri's car park.

I've PM you the pricing. smile.gif

Just let me know if you would like to know more. smile.gif

Hi bro, how customize you want it to be? Actually if you can state your preference and budget, then it will be easier for me. Like doors 2 or 3 layers.
I have multiple ways of doing doors, floors and roof. Please share with me more about your preference... Then I can definitely work out something for you. You can roughly get the idea from the listed price on first page.

Hi Ruki, thanks for the feedback. They call me a punctual freak... to certain extend, I do disagree... biggrin.gif

If you want something better, you can add-on a third layer to have better effect. Don't worry, Flex Mat is flexible enough to peel off and stick it back.

P.S: You wake up quite late huh... tongue.gif

It depends on what you want actually... If you ask me, then I will definitely say full cabin, doors, floors, roof and the pillars.

But you may try doors and the floor first. It is definitely good enough to really really enjoy your quiet and comfortable ride...

If your carpet is up, then just cover high up behind the dashboard. Or else you will regret and might be lazy to open up the whole carpet again... smile.gif

Do let me know~~ smile.gif

Thanks for your prompt reply..

I was wondering of doing such way:
1) floor+all the way behind dash (1 lnsudamp + 1 noise absorption mat)
2) doors (1 Insudamp-inner door, 1 insudamp-outer door, 1 insudamp+10mm insuflex-panel)

is it ok? what are the diff between insudamp, flex mat, dampening mat? all looks the same xD

thanks smile.gif

Thanks for your prompt reply..

I was wondering of doing such way:
1) floor+all the way behind dash (1 lnsudamp + 1 noise absorption mat)
KS : Errr...Not enough le. If you want fully floor covered, then you will need 5 InsuDamp + 3 Noise absorption Mat. My floor combination is always 5 Flex Mat, 3 Dampening Mat and 3 N.A.M.

2) doors (1 Insudamp-inner door, 1 insudamp-outer door, 1 insudamp+10mm insuflex-panel)
KS: 1 box InsuDamp is enough for 1 door 2 layers. So for what you intend to do, you will need ~6 boxes InsuDamp and 2 Insulflex 10mm.

is it ok? what are the diff between insudamp, flex mat, dampening mat? all looks the same xD
KS : Should be ok if that is what you plan to do. Flex Mat and InsuDamp is the same in structure both also have aluminium layer to help in dampening the vibration. But, Flex Mat is thicker and definitely can dampen better than InsuDamp. Dampening Mat is only butlyn without the aluminium layer, but due to the nature of the materials, it is not advisable to be used on vertical application. So the best is always floors only. It is cheap and effective solution for floors.

thanks smile.gif

Oh...If that's you plan, then ok also. Can just use the Dampening Mat la, it is cheap and with N.A.M on... You can get a very very good result already biggrin.gif

If budget permits, then just go for Flex Mat lor... Nice nice no run water~~ thumbup.gif

Hey Kheng Siong,

I insulated Doors, bonnet. But still wheel noise prevails. How to arrest that?
