kakuta and hutch are in the champions league squad. good to know!  flex.gif

I am sure they are there just to make up the HOMEGROWN player requirement unless we are guarantee a 1st spot finish in group stage then the remaining 1 or 2 games they might get their minute. But i dont really like to see them play because when that happen normally is because of injury crisis lol.

But i do hope they get their chance in those domestic cup games against lesser opponent.

i think we can sell players but unable to buy any new players. or we could buy players just unable to use them in matches?

"A restriction of four months on his eligibility to play in official matches is imposed on the player Gael Kakuta while the club Chelsea is banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, for the two next entire and consecutive registration periods following the notification of the present decision.

QUOTE
Yet more anti-English bias by the ruling bodies, like the Eduardo ban. Hope Chelsea sue FIFA for restraint of trade.

QUOTE
Players are tapped-up all the time (did Real Madrid really have no contact with CR until they had reached agreement with Man U?), just as diving happens all the time, but once again FIFA/UEFA target a top club in the EPL to make their point. Surprise, surprise.

If these punishments are now applied to ALL guilty clubs I would have no problem with it, but I'm not holding my breath, as with the Eduardo case.

And will FIFA ever tackle the "3rd parties" owning players in South America?

QUOTE
So, does this mean that Real Madrid will be banned from transfers after their blatant courting of Ronaldo when he was still under contract at United?

One rule for one, one for another....

Back in July 2005 Italian club Roma were similarly banned from signing players for a one year period over the controversial signing of defender Philippe Mexes from French club Auxerre. However, Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) later overturned FIFA's ruling.
