well ur decision... but i can tell u 55 series does not means u will lose much comfort... change the RE030 tires can try... coz BS tires might be a lil stiff... so u can try out Primacy LC or Falken 912 for more comfort on 195/55 R15...

Hi, thanks god i found this thread, would like to ask the questions for long time already. Some noob question and i'm sorry if some of you keep repeating the same answer in this thread.

Would like to change my tyres for my BLM (original is 13" Goodyear Ducaro)

1. Can recommend a best bang for the buck tyres but can give good handling, comfort and safety? What brand and model name?

2. What size?

3. What type of rim could fit that size?

4. How much is the tyres roughly?

5. Do i need to find rims that could fit the size of the tyres or all rims have different measurement?

Thanks so much.

u can try Michelin XM1 ... Rm145 including balancing and valve....... Michelin XM1 got 13" ... can use back ur current rim....

i try cornering using XM1 , not bad ... overall handling is very good ...

dont try Falken , Continental , or even sime tyre.... once u use michelin XM1 .u will love to it

But what are the differences in term of handling, comfort and safety between 13" and 15" tyres?

15" is the best choice sure can fit into ur car... 195/50 R15 (fit the conversion well) or the thicker 195/55 R15 (it is just 0.5% out of the 3% rules)... 50 series give you better handling, but 55 series give you a lil more comfort... it is ur choice...
195/50 tires Michelin PP2, Yokohama Parada2, Yokohama A Drive R1, Yokohama S Drive, Yokohama AD 08, Toyo T1R, Dunlop D-01
195/55 Performance tires Hankook V12, Michelin PP2, Yokohama S Drive, Yokohama AD 08, BS Adrenalin RE001, Toyo T1R, Toyo DRB
195/55 Comfort tires Michelim Primacy LC, Yokohama C Drive, BS GR80

ur choice of RIMs, just get any 15" x 6.5jj or 15" x 6.0jj rims will do
set ur target of the budget if you have limited budget i would say change back to 175/70 R15 with Michelin XM1 or Yokohama A Drive... smile.gif skip Continental CC1, Sime, Silverstone and others...

Hi Guys,

I'm using Falken ZE522 195/55R15 for 3 years
Recently, I found it to be very noisy!
I have not drive my car for 5 weeks, and my sister was driving it.

I'm not sure if it's engine sound or tyre sound.
When i drive like more than 80kmh, then the sound is clearly there

Is it time to change my tyres?

3 yrs should change already... a tire OTR should not be more than 4 years from it's manufacturing date...
for ur size try out Yokohama C Drive you u wan comfort and silent drive...
Falken 912 also is better than 522 but it will but a lil noise after 50% used...

Hi guys i'm looking for 195/50 R16 Michelin PP2 tires. Anyone knows roughly about the price range of this tyre and where could I find them? Most of the tire shops only carry 205 width for R16...

Thanks! biggrin.gif

Hi there thanks for the reply. From Michelin web there is this size available. I could found it from Tyrepac (www.tyrepac.com) and it quoted RM381. Just wondering where could I get it cheaper...

Alternatively any other recommended tyres for comfort and silent?

Thanks again and cheers!

could be depend on the usage too. my friend's car cover more than 30k in a year, so his tires only last for
2 years sweat.gif
btw, does the v12 available in 205/55/r15? their site aren't very helpful. wanna pair it to my other ride.
