guys need your opinion,  im using nct5 195/55/15 on gen2 currently.

Front 70-80% rear 60%

During rain, the rear side like gliding and sway, very licin..

what should i do..

1) buy new pair for front, front move to rear
2) use until front left 60-70%, change whole new set

Plan to get this Hankook V12 Evo, this 1 good in wet?
*
aiyo... buy 4 pcs lo... 1 time... then can get good grip....
change the back... if front turning brake also die... i have mine Ori stock of Vios changed after 50%...
cannot tahan... really it will break the traction very easily...

previously im using nct5 and it easy to skid (especially wet road) and noisy...
so i change to continental cct1 and its better than nct5 for grip and noise reduction..
now using falken ze912... grip even better but noise reduction slightly less than cct1

as Hankook V12's user, i personally recommend this tyre. excellent grip in dry & wet. no drop in FC, as previously using kelly sport plus.

guys,

Between Toyo T1R , Yokohama S drive or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3,

which one has better dry grip?

For spirited driving/hard driving.

Noise is not an issue.

Can some1 also indicate the price for Yokohama S drive and Goodyear for size 195/55/15.

y not try the Bridgestone Adrenalin?? it is good in dry...
it wet grip is a bit issue for you... Toyo T1R thread wear index is very low... 240 if not mistaken...
so the thread will wear off faster... pls do note about this...

Any recommendation for 164/55/R14? Currently considering V8...which seems to be cheaper and better performance...and anyone knows any Hankook tyre shop in PJ?

tested all. toyo is an excellent performer in dry and wet condition / cornering. i could say good traction in wet but less grip. F1 and S drive are all rounder. currently using S drive at the rear.
noisy tyre but quite satisfied with it. plan to swap it with friend's F1 soon and get a better feel of the tyre with nice directional thread thumbup.gif

tested. avoid this tyre for spirited driving. it took longer distance to stop under heavy braking compare to even a yokohama C drive.
wet grip 'ma ma tei only'. am not willing to sacrifice the pleasure of driving by going into 'extra mileage' with this tyre.
then again, this is merely my personal opinion icon_rolleyes.gif

nothing else is cheaper as i told you on the Tire Price List thread... try Hankook V12... it is better but similar priced...

ya ka... damn... i heard from ppl SG got stock... doh.gif
sorry... but i'm not waiting for it... cos hard side wall tires... suffer on ride quality...
what i want is Good dry and wet traction... then Comfort and Noise... i can't give away the wet traction and comfort...
Michelin PP2 is marginal already... but i heard from someone that S drive is similar with PP2...
but noisier coz directional thread... now duno which to buy b4 CNY... T1R, S Drive or stick back to PP2... now using V12...
