Mana lu punya RE001?  whistling.gif  rolleyes.gif
my RE001 clocked >15xxxkm already...  biggrin.gif
*
Currently i am still on RE001, clocked 22-23k km dee, still have 50% tread..3 out of 4 tyre being patched before due to screw/nails !!! still left one tyre is virgin!:( ..next month gonna change liao together with service. nod.gif

RE001 dry cornering is brilliant, rubber wear down to 30-40%, groove show "J" pattern..looks really Good ! thumbup.gif PP2 lose quite abit.
RE001 on damp surface(wet), when it is new..ok. I notice at wet tarmac, it can be slippery, just becareful not to drive too fast. Be patient, listen to music and drive cautiously..

RM250 Michelin PS3 is the price i ask from few Penang Michelin dealer..still haven't decide which to go for..RE001 RM295-300. AD08 got ready stock, but price aar...after negotiate still RM480 per piece. Hmm..

Still haven't decide which to go for..PS3 pricing wise is attractive, tread pattern somehow dull, design is a decade ago. rolleyes.gif Can save rm200 if buy PS3 compare to RE001..if PS3 dry traction doesn't satisfied..then next change gonna be RE001 again ! cool.gif

RE001 is also known RE760 wor..that's i found on the net.

I agree with you.

I hate to say but mentioned it many times before. To accurately test a tire, it is best to fit on a same car with same setting and put it on a skidpad. Push it around the corner especially slalom test, it shows difference.

Different cars with different tyres, somemore different drivers..what kind of test is it? Chapalang test? crap..
Street racing ..omg. Go to a skidpad that wide enough, push it hard and smoke the wheel, burn donuts...leave skid marks on the ground...

basically our skill is about the same.... from top to bottom i have not mention about extreme tire
where got skipad to try out?

Very good question! Just find a place that is wide enough provided the road is Tarmac...not gravel. If it is gravel, the tyre sure gone..rubber cut and tear off badly. Just push it harder and go sideway.. brows.gif This is how to try what's the limit... blush.gif

Test benchmark? Slalom test is a good standard. Of course let's say before that the car is with 205/50/16 hp tyre, upgrade it to Same size but UHP category, don't expect cornering speed improved by 20-30kmh..this is bullshit if anyone tell me this..most likely can bring more speed into apex, corner by ~5%

I am from Northern region..i bring my ride to industrial park there with 4lanes wide open road with no centre divider/pavement, just in case lost control...oops unsure.gif weekend barely any vehicle pass by because factory no operate on weekend. Just an advice, it is illegal to do it at public road, be sure not to get busted by cops.

Lewis hamilton has been busted by Australia cops because of performing donuts burnout action at public road..LoL. laugh.gif

sorry if my posting is offensive...

I would either stick back to 185/55/15 or downsize to smaller, lower profile 195/50/15 to feel more planted during high speed drool.gif

Vios stock rim is 15*5.5 right?

LoL,
you so unlucky...
agreed with you on what you said on RE-001.  rclxms.gif

do update me if you change to new tires,
because i want to know the RE-001 can clocked till what mileage ...

since you are using RE-001 now,
you should go for PS3 for next tire change what,
so that you can compare each other with same car setting...  tongue.gif
*
As Gouki said, it is around ~30k lifespan...otherwise in wet, can go sideway easily.. blush.gif

See how first...i afraid later i change my mind change to ciplak cheap cheap tyre because i noticed they are few new construction area for new condo and residential near my house ..no wonder always hit with nails. Buy expensive tyre heart pain later.

Yours is Accord CP1 or Camry2.0 that fit with 215/60/16? Forget about ES501, get either Bridgestone GR90..or PrimacyLC
