most of the sedan car in the market could last for more than 50k or 60k km mileage. depending on the driving style.
profile 50 will not be as comfortable as profile 55. if you want the looks, go for 205/50/16 or 225/45/17.
profile 50 and 55 / 195 width and 205 width / 15" and 16" does not differ much but price different is noticeable.
check out michelin mv8.
or goodyear duraplus which could last for more than 80k km mileage with crap grip.

depending on your budget. since you want comfort, low noise and longer tread life, falken 912 seem to be a worth buy.
fyi, any tyre will produce more noise when the tread wear out... so, noise level doesn't really matter.

why not, if you don't mind sacrificing on the comfort (and budget) thus going for harder sidewall tyre;
yokohama c.drive which is noisier or even bridgestone re001 and ps3.
for continental, you could try csc2 and above.

Just bought Hankook Ventus Evo V12 and i must say this is by far the best tyre i used so far.

The tyre is grippy and traction has improved tremendously. Noise is still acceptable and I'm impressed by its good gripping over both highways and normal roads.

It rained heavily today so i test it by driving abit spirited and i couldnt believe how impressive the grip at wets. My car did not lose traction when driving fast on highways.

For such price (RM290 per piece for 205/45/R17), man I couldn't ask for more thumbup.gif

i think you're either referring to Neuton tyre or Nexen tyre.
i've tested a a friend's drift car fitted with nexen's n8000 or something. good grip in dry but wet grip not so good.
road feedback is acceptable though.
as for the neuton tyre. the made in indonesia(nt5000 or something, don't bother to remember) was among the lousiest tyre around. was using 'em(rear tyre) somewhere in 2006 for only 5 weeks. one dully retired as a gardening pot. one managed to stay in my boot, as a modified woofer casing!
don't be fooled by it's tread. it has worst grip in wet and the outer tread even start to peel off pieces by pieces. perhaps, due to my aggressive driving style, then again, the equally cheap maxxis borrowed for testing purpose at least did not peel off.

travis_ckf@
being a directional tread, v12 tend to be little noisy. otherwise, quite a fine tyre overall.
