Hey there,

I need some advice on Stacking different brand of protein. Here is my situation.

As for this month i have been working out for exactly a year thumbup.gif . But learning on supplemental protein it's still relatively pretty new to me.

I've been taking syntha-6 and thermonex for the past 4 months and initially it was just for weight lost and nutritional support. I have an extremely strict diet which is something like this:

As time go I wanted to improve now on all side of workout (strength, stamina, flexibility and etc)and just last month i've started this workout program called the P90X by Tony Horton and those workout he've created are BUTTKICKING 7 days a week workout. I was used just working out 3 times a week and trying this workout have put a strain on my Syntha-6 intake and it's been very fast. Syntha-6 i would say it's relatively expensive comparing to other brand, so i've decided to try Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey. Currently i have another bottle of Syntha-6 and now with a new bottle of ON Whey. Taste wise i would still prefer Syntha 6 rclxms.gif .

I just need some opinion is would it be safe to consume both of these different brand protein mixing in with so many other supplements i'm taking ? Sometimes i just fear that i'll intoxicate myself rclxub.gif

Thank you

It should be fine. Synthia has a blend of different proteins where else ON uses whey primarily.

Both contain amino acids that perform the same function, the difference would be the adsorption and digestion rate.

You must be loaded to be able to afford so many supplements.
Your diet's very clean but I'll die from the too-clean-diet syndrome if I were to eat like that smile.gif

It's perfectly fine to stack supplements from different manufacturers. My friend has Koloseum, BSN Syntha-6, ON Casein, ON Whey, UN Creatine and he's still okay. Supplements aren't super important. Just as pointed out by Tom Venuto, solid meals beat shakes anytime. Darklight has always reminded us of that too. smile.gif

Slowly check the raw ingredients of these supplements and cross-check to see if they would create any reactions to your body. Take a blood sample test and have the doctor see if your body has allergic reactions to the contents of these supplements.

But really? Do you actually bother?

WOW when i thought i was worrying about a few different supplement. your friend's variety is even larger.
Yeah i've been reading few of Darklight post. it's really helpful. I will keep that in mind and will try to improve my diet plan (once i've got my oven and grill pan set up in my office pantry) .. so now settle with Hot water and oats LOL ...

I was brought up in a healthy eating environment, so i kinda got used to it.

So far there's no allergic reaction to what i'm taking except for dry lips after intake of Syntha-6. I do not seem to have the problem with ON Whey ...

ON Whey is cheaper. Protein is protein. I never noticed any difference using different brands.

rclxms.gif by price ON is definitely much cheaper vs BSN.
By taste wise it's a whole different story.

Really thank you all for the feedback ..... thumbup.gif

hi,

unless u have been advised by a doctor or nutritionist to take saw palmetto, if not perhaps u might consider the intake of it again.

there are side effects for it. i have personally tried taking saw palmetto for around 2 months. guess what, my semen become extremely sticky, n extremely little amount. my sex drive become almost 0, too. (malunya telling these online @@")

immediately i stop taking that, after like 1 month, everything back to normal.

im not trying to say u r going to go thru all that too, jz perhaps sharing this with u n other forumers, thanks.

There's nothing to be shy about. Yeah I have the same problem with you. I thought I was working out too much. but my sex drive is pretty much normal.
I know ZMA's are very hard to find here, but have anyone of you experience after taking ZMA's your testicle becomes bigger ...
I'll try and go off from Saw palmetto and see does my sex drive go off the roof. Heard ZMA does that brows.gif

Btw when i was at ON's homepage and just viewing the video testimonial by the user, can't remember that dude. but i recall he mix his whey protein with his coffee .. Can we actually do that ? I mean put on HOT food or Drinks ...

yeap. u see in GNC they dont categorize saw palmetto under general health but under men's health, there r reasons behind. i was so stupid coz i thought i have prostate problem (i always wake up midnight n go toilet, 2 or 3 times everyday), n i go n take saw palmetto. i should have consult a doctor before that rclxub.gif

thats y, quite particular with that supplement, hope u dun mind biggrin.gif

ZMA i thought u can buy it from guardians or watson, something called zemax, not sure they still have it anot, update me please ^^"

dont mix whey with hot drinks, thats bad. on whey has coffee flavor, its very tasty (im drinking one now ^^), if u like coffee then next time u can get a coffee flavor ON.

I think it's ZEMAX SX ... or something like that. Zemax is pretty expensive 30 pops for about averagely RM100.
so many people selling it online heheh .. i think guardian or pharmacy might be slightly much more expensive ...

Actually i just take saw palmetto for just General Health. Yeah maybe i should consult .. erm ... Prostate Specialist .. i think they have a name for it ...heheheh
